So I have one other thing I've played multiple different players and your performance does actually count I've played one character where my player went through the entire AA season and a majority of the AAA season before getting called up because I was struggling to preform it also depends on what your position and team needs are. My current player I started as a 1B for the Dodgers but because I choose the anomaly archetype I got moved to LF and because LF is a weaker position for the Dodgers I skipped AAA after hitting 51 HRs and stealing 30 bases. Joc got traded, and Pollock was injured so I was the best option based on my vastly out preforming my AAA counterparts I still get to play 1B every now and then but I like being an LF already saved a few runs. But performance and team needs are what dictates how fast you get the call up. I had a CF when I went through AA and most of AAA and the Dodgers are set in both CF and RF so the call up time is longer. I have a Starting pitcher who has less than 1.80 ERA in 10 games started and is still in AAA I got the call up early but due to the Dodgers stacked rotation and bull pen it will take a while to get the call up to the MLB

First-person view of:
-
Baserunning, Base stealing:
Let player to experience the sound of your cleats plowing on the dirt; tough decision to make in tenth of a second (head-first slide? or hook slide?), Hearing umpires yelling at you! ( YOU'RE OUT!!) maybe SPEED BLUR VISION when fast players accelerate to top speed...etc. -
Pitching on the mound:
The HISSING sound of baseball seams collide with air molecules, the LOUD POPPING sound of your fireball slamming in catcher's mitt, some options or perks to intimidate/ provoke hitters (verbal? or guts pose?) -
Fielding:
Imagine to finish all kinds of highlight plays in first-person view. Maybe they can merge Showtime opportunity in fist-person view. -
Hitting:
Tough to implement in first-person view. But it would be great to feel as being a powerful slugger. The whiff sound of a power swing;
Smacking balls squarely (This has already been done in current version, which is GREAT). The sudden change of camera angle panning when you slammed a Moon-shot...etc.
-
-
RTTS has to be updated, the new way is not working as far as upgrading your player. Nor is gameplay real at all. I went 18-1 with a MVP, Cy Young and ROY as a starting pitcher. They signed me back and put me in the bullpen. This isn’t how it works in the real world.
-
I want the gameplay to be improved, especially with fielding. They broke the fielding animations for 2B/SS on steal attempts from 19 to 20 (2B rarely make it to the bag no matter how quick/forceful you direct them to cover the bag. SS often run endlessly. Lots of catcher throwing errors because the player stops in his tracks). Camera angles and distances with playerlock are much worse (can't see the action, runners on, can't look to 3B coach while running, etc). 3B playerlock has the camera snapping noticeably to a different angle at the start of every pitch.
Oh, and proper rotating interleague schedules would be nice.

woah this would be pretty great if they could work it out, and it looked good. There is a big difference in just thrown together first person, and well Crafted 1PoV.
I'd use it. -

Absolutely need, need, need to be able to have an open world aspect. I mean open world in the simplest fashion, I need to be able to go to the gym and practice field once a day for each gym increases the cap of the chosen ability and practice field increases the actual attributes. I'm on my RTTS Play in the MLB in LF for the Dodgers and I've been stuck on 65 fielding cap since I was in AA (skipped AAA) I check every single time I have the option to upgrade and not once has fielding cap been there. You could also argue that the Gym and practice field do the opposite gym is the attributes field is the cap or a combination depending on what you want to work. Like if you want to work power the gym is the place to increase the attributes and working on "power swing" is the cap if you want to work fielding practice fielding is the only option you can choose to work the cap or the attribute itself. Vision batting cages none of this mini game on the players phone BS you get in the cage for the same amount of time and work on hitting. Keep the ability to get more points for doing well in the event. But the fact I have not had the option in legit 4 months (in game time) to increase my fielding cap is not it.
-
I'd also like to see a kinda dynamic duo situation like the bash bros. Or if your a pitcher you get a personal catcher or middle infield you can make spectacular combinations plays if one gets traded they remain friends but the rivalry kicks in but it makes both of you gain better against each other. Still on the same team the boost with that player is double what normal friends and bros offer

Real-time blurry ball trajectory:
RTTS is played under the perspective of TV broadcast. While I don't know the main shutter speed setting of their cameras, the real-time ball trajectory in THE SHOW is somehow too CLEAR in real-time speed.
I think the trajectory in real-time speed could be a little bit blurry, to simulate the image perceived by human-eyes.
(Some say the shutter speed of human-eyes is around 1/50th of a second )
https://www.artistsnetwork.com/art-mediums/pastel/the-shutter-speed-of-our-eyes/ -
I may have missed it but no one mentioned the camera issue in rtts. Can't tell you how many times I've missed the ball as a fielder because the idiotic camera view. Dynamic view is what I use in franchise. It works well for seeing where the ball is and where to place my player.
And I second... Or 3rd or whatever the discontinuance of caps. Did the devs ever consider how this would apply to real life? Can you imagine a coach telling the player... Look, your fastball is great, it needs to get better but I'm not going to allow you to improve. Or the player themselves saying they don't want to get too good. I've also had a coach tell me on rtts that my clutch is really bad, or k/9 or whatever... But then they don't allow me to go train. Even if I can train, more often than not, it isn't something the mlb gods allow me to up. It is so nonsensical it makes me think the ones that made thisode don't play baseball at all.
There's also that bug that doesn't allow you to train during or after the all star game. I have a CP that is 6 years in but locked at 83 because I am rarely allowed to train and when I do, I'm either capped or the gain is marginal. It truly is a busted mode that needs new devolpers. The old ones need let go.
-
I’m RTTS we should be able to get drafted whatever round instead instead of being drafted after the 15th round.

So true. This would mean more happening in the lead up to the draft (eg school or college gameplay, extended showcase). It really is long overdue.

So you want to take 3months to play a season and when you get the 2022 game you have played maybe 3-4 seasons because all your time was in the gym and practice field

Please read carefully what I posted I am not being insulting in any way shape or form I said "I need to be able to go to the gym or practice field" not that it's required because I also never said anything about taking the experience gained during games, like I said in my post my character has been stuck at 65 fielding for month of in game time and I'm never given an option to upgrade the CAP. This is simply adding more control to the player which is accurate to real life if a player struggles with something he is going to work on that particular skill to improve it that is all I want, if a person chooses to spend every available opportunity in the gym or practice field that is their choice. Also again true to real life before every single game is a practice that is 100% mandatory for players to be at if they are late or miss it they are benched and fined I'm not saying make it mandatory because then that would drive people away but make that available as the practice field/gym. I'm simply asking for more control. Again my opening statement was not meant as any type of insult because I specified that we should be able to go to the gym or field if we so choose.

I’m not a fan of the progression system in rtts, but I disagree that it’s too slow to boost overall. I’ve played two full years (one double a and one mlb), and I’m at a 92 at the start of the third year. That’s way too fast in my opinion. Playing on HOF difficulty, so it’s not like I’m batting .500 on rookie
-
An easy one to implement.
Let pitcher to have three different sets of pitching motions: Windup, Stretch and Slide-step.
Some pitchers have good Windup motions, but the Stretch motion assigned aren't. So I wish I could choose Stretch motion.
About the Slide-step motion, it seems like every pitcher in THE SHOW has the same Slide-step motion.
https://youtu.be/MknNVF1nmIY?t=125
As show in the video, pitcher doesn't point gloveside arm naturally to homeplate. Could be better.

I would like the ability to play catcher left handed via rtts or create a player

A little bit more of a story idea would be good for the mode but to me the biggest thing that kills RTTS is realism. You get everything just handed to you and you have to earn literally nothing. It's almost impossible unless you really try to to have a decreasing stat, no matter how bad you are playing and even though you might be playing awful, you will still get the call up to the majors in almost every first year.
I know people here have said in the past they don't want to toil around in the minors and want to be in the majors right away but there should be some kind of option that makes it harder to get there so you will actually have to earn your spot. That alone kills the career mode for me. There is only 25 player spots on a roster (I guess 26 now) so they are extremely rare. It should be hard to get there. Also this stupid idea that AA and AAA are levels below the one that you choose is beyond idiotic. If I wanted to play on rookie in AA, I would choose that. If i set the game to HOF difficulty, then that is where it should be.
I am looking forward to the new game as I always am but I don't think they will fix many of the things that people want in RTTS and will throw 1 gimmick thing out there and say "we really worked on RTTS this year" like in the past.
I have been playing RTTS since 2009 and back then generally you would play one season of AA then one season of AAA then go to the majors. I had at times a player that never made it to the show and would play several years of AAA. occasionally I would get a player that would be called up early but not normally. Now you get there too fast and your player doesn't have the attributes to play at that level. I liked it much better when you had to work to get to the show.
I to remember those days!! But unfortunately the new age gamer are the ones with the voice nowadays. Just look at other modes- Battle royale 3 inning games but yet some of the highest priced cards on market, Events same short game bs b/c somebody cried about 9 innings was to long,
It's all about instant gratification new age gamers don't want to work toward anything and gain a sense of accomplishments.

3 inning games have their place (I used to play 20 x 3 inning games in season mode before it was shafted).
Conquest is a suitable mode for 3 inning games (its tedious enough as is, if it were 9 innings it would be dreadful).
But certainly they have no place in any rewards-based mode, at least not the way it’s done now.

Agreed single player that's fine or leagues. i actually was referring to only the MP aspect where rewards are concerned. -

(edit) My experience was 2010 or 2011 but same in regards to played a year in AA and almost a year in AAA but when u got that august or september call up your character was built to be able to compete at pro level but still also a long way from being maxed out.
In fact your contract would be like 5 or 6 years and then big money came when u hit free agency and then by that time your character was almost maxed out but you still had to work to maintain attributes. Definitely miss some of those features.
