Good Second Basemen??

I feel like this game is very lacking in good second basemen. In a second baseman, I'm looking for...
- Great hitting
- Decent/above average speed (not required, but it is useful)
- Great fielding (for double plays, especially)
Recommendations please?

Joe Morgan, Frankie Lindor, Honus, or Mookie are all outstanding. I personally run Mookie at 2 because it allows me to move him into the outfield late game if I feel like I need to upgrade Ted Williams defense.
Seager is a stud too, but I prefer to use him off the bench.
Don't sleep on POTM Jram either. If prestiged he's got gold defense at his secondary positions, and he can play just about anywhere.

Morgan, Betts, Seager, Mondesi. Chose one and be done with it
Seager 2 slow for 2nd 2 many balls by him up middle, I live his bat but I've benched him for Lux currently.
Morgan or Lux my top 2 'overall with Hornsby on bench, Mondesi, and Seager

As above.... MVP Joe Morgan.
123 C and 107 P vs righties, 92 speed and great defense. What's not to love?

Finest Mookie
-
Finest Lindor - retains diamond defense at 2B, great swing, ball jumps off his bat from both sides of the plate.

I'll say it since no one else has; SS Jackie. He's my end-game 2B every year. He ticks the boxes you want, plus he's free, and the grind for him pays out great rewards if you haven't started it yet. That being said, Finest Mookie would be my next choice. My goodness that card is a problem.

There is literally a million options....just sounds like you stink with all of them

This is true. I'm ashamed I forgot about him. I used him for a long time. Even put him at first base for awhile and ran that POTM didi at 2.
Jackie is a card with sneaky pop too. Hits way above what his numbers suggest.

I might work on the Jackie program today, I've been avoiding it because I hate moments

Finest Mookie
Why would you waste that god like arm at 2nd?
Same reason one would put Bellinger at first. OF loaded with monster talents. Griffey, Mays, trout all gotta play.

I really wish the infield got more attention in terms of good cards. There's just too many good outfielders.

His program is actually not terrible anymore. They changed a few of the moments because they were too hard.
Most of the hit missions you can kinda sneak through by just bunting. Anything extra base hits just takes a bit of patience. online hits eventually get there, and theres a conquest map for 30 points.
Good luck.

Hornsby has been one of my best hitters. 70 speed, and a silver shield at 2nd. If you could compromise with that, it wouldn’t be a bad fill

Man I miss that card! Was my favorite!! One man demolition crew a few years ago.

Trust me, you want Rogers Hornsby and you'll live happily ever after. Yes he only has silver fielding, but he's a top 5 hitter in the game which by far outweighs his defense. On a side note, Hornsby isn't even all that bad of a fielder ratings aside. He gets the jump throwing animations and the Cano leaning throw across the body. Hardly makes any errors too. So yeah he's the GOAT at 2B without a doubt.

Cap should be at 2b
Mondesi > CAP
65 power vs RHP and 125 vs LHP is the difference. Weak enough to contact swing bloopers for days, strong enough to wallop the ball 500'. 99 speed? Diamond D at SS gold at 2B and 3B?
Done deal mate. Not to mention the deep shift impact vs RHP because of his power on the left side. Can bunt cheese too

The only right answer is Gavin Lux. The man, the myth, the legend.
Can confirm

Been using Finest David Fletcher. Singles machine with amazing defense. Average speed and power though. I’m an Angels fan so I’m bias a bit
