Shippett broke The Show this year

15-14 “baseball” games. Early/late 40 degree launch angle home runs. ERAs above 8 for top ranked players. Home hunting galore. Shippett Stadium has been THE number one problem in Head to head games this year. Even those of you that like to play here have to admit it’s led to an incredible shift in how this game is played. Pitching, which is half of the game, simply doesn’t matter here. I hope SDS either adjusts this park, or removes it completely next year.

To be fair pitching only vaguely matters in every other park, but yeah it's worst at Shippett.

But I agree with your ultimate hope, which is that the stadium is removed. As I mentioned in a previous thread, I wouldn’t mind seeing them create 15 new “minor league” stadiums. The same backdrops for every game is getting old, in my opinion.

Casuals have hated shippett for years and top players have played there for years this isn’t a new thing this year lol.

Could a possible solution be maybe to pick the same stadium every 3 games or something? That would promote other stadiums being used at least a little bit. I usually pick date palm myself but it doesn’t bother me playing at Shippett. I definitely agree with the home hunting tho. I feel like I’m away almost every game. But it’s events and I’m getting my guys extra AB’s and closer to prestige so I guess it isn’t all bad from my perspective.

They know it broke the game. Otherwise, they wouldn’t play there.

I hope with the launch on Next Gen consoles as well as adding a new, very large database will bring more stadiums next year. A few new classic stadiums and 10ish new minor league stadiums.

I’ve been playing this game for years. Never made ws but can consistently make cs so I wouldn’t consider myself to be a causal. While “top” players having been playing here for years, it hasn’t led to the type of problems as playing at this stadium has this year.

I think this is my least favourite place to play. The windows in the buildings in the batters eye makes it harder to pick up the ball IMO. Maybe it was the guy using a certain pitcher and it came out of his hand at a difficult spot, but I immediately put that one on my own ‘do not choose’ list.

I only use it because my team is Cincinnati and I don’t wanna play at GABP with Reds logos everywhere. I personally don’t have trouble with the batters eye but I’ve heard others do. Maybe I’m accustomed to it. Oh well, I’m gonna keep playing there cause I like it.

You can argue that, but I’ve seen a lot of players complaining about shippett since 18. There has been a gradual increase in home hunting throughout the years as people become more aware that it’s possible. I don’t home hunt myself, I find it quite annoying.
The pitching has been atrocious since 18, so that’s not really any different. I personally have not noticed a change in pitching since 18. 18, 19, and 20 have all been ridiculous with early home runs as well, so I’m really not seeing what makes shippett worse this year. Aside from possibly more people playing there.
If anything, shippett is more balanced this year than prior years such as 18 bc 18 had wind, which was very broken if blowing out. 19 had a lot more lineouts, which imo made people believe that the pitching was better.

Absolutely man, if it suits your eye then go for it! Not telling you what to do at all. Just my opinion. Would give you an advantage against guys who don’t pick up the ball well there too. Good on ya.

Shippet is the go to stadium due to it being the most rewarding stadium. Early is a basically what perfect perfect should be, but hey a studio that has developed this game since 2006 can’t get it right

Blame pitching. Shipped has been around for a long time, never been an issue. Its the pitching.

I don’t have a huge problem with early home runs, as long as they are away. Those pitches get hooked out all the time IRL. But as with many arguments about this game, do you want it to mimic real life, or serve as a fair and competitive video game. Both is not a realistic option

I think the perfect/perfect system introduced this year amplified an already extremely friendly offensive environment. Shippett was always an offense first ballpark, but until this year the outcomes seemed “reasonable.” Now every game there has double digit scores for each team with combined home run totals at least 5x the major league average

Very true, but when SDS implemented it, they should have adjusted a few stadiums to account for the change and balance things out a little.
