Swing location. PCI is biggest when high and inside (about 5% wider than dead centre), and smallest when low and away. The diagonal of high and outside – middle – low and inside are all nearly identical. Move up and in along that diagonal and PCI increases, move down and away and it will get smaller.

Power ... Frank Thomas with 109 contact and 104 power has basically the same inner PCI size as Rod Carew (actually a few pixels larger), who has 125 contact and 65 power.

Interesting work here, nice job. I think the two takeaways above merit a deeper understanding. Thanks for a point in an intriguing direction.

Thanks! I wasn’t sure if people knew about swing location... I surely didn’t. And the effects of power on PCI was probably the biggest surprise for me.

I'll jump on the bandwagon here, awesome job!!!

One more thing, can you do all of these measurements one more time, after 2 beers, 2 shots or two glasses of wine, and let us know what percentage fall off we have on everything. 😊
