Expansion Mode
-
My apologies if this is something that gets brought up constantly. I am a lifelong video game fan. I remember my mother first bring home Coleco. Baseball games have been a staple of my video game playing since then. I've played just about all the big releases. I remember being a big fan of All-Star Baseball (2003-2005) for one reason in particular... they had a comprehensive expansion mode. It made for some of the most fun ever from a baseball video game. Having to build a team from the scraps, castoffs, and high paid veterans was so much fun. Why isn't there an expansion mode in The Show. I know 2K has one for the NBA series, I'm not sure if Madden still does. It could easily be the shot in the arm that Franchise Mode needs.

They had said they would do something about it, so I got my hopes up. And then it was just the fact that you delete a team, and build a team to put in there, so NOT AN EXPANSION! II am really hoping they add this next year.

1.) Madden does have relocation, not really expansion.
2.) Well to find a way around the inability of SDS for quality franchise content, what I've done is I've rebranded a team at the season, release everyone, and literally take two players from each team in free agency, and intentionally draft horribly in the first year. Then the second year is essentially as close as expansion as possible with MLBTS. New team, new stadium, new design, and sign new staff so I can try to do what SDS couldn't- expansion. -
I was also a fan of All-Star Baseball back in the day. I still have 2003 for Gamecube, but unfortunately I sold off a bunch of sports games when I was younger since I figured I would never play them again. The expansion was definitely my favorite part of the game. I can still remember the menu music since I played that game so much. It was epic.
