I try to post at least one a week, with supporting opinions and/or video evidence. I’m sorry you feel as though the developers shouldn’t be held accountable for not managing to even successfully rehash the same old game from year to year without making a lot of basic errors, like repeating the debacle from last year where outfielders couldn’t play balls near walls for the first seven weeks, or catchers couldn’t throw out stealing base runners, or ball physics make very little or no sense whatsoever. Keep defending the game and throwing money at SDS and I’m sure they’ll accidentally get it right in due course. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

I’m not defending SDS at all, my post was just directed towards the OP in a sarcastic manner because all I seem to find when I scroll this forums are complaining threads about the gameplay the he creates.
I agree with him most of the time it’s just that i’ve played this game long enough to realise that the gameplay issues are not the priority for SDS. Giving us juicy new cards is way more profitable and much less time consuming then fixing the gameplay.

I still think it could be a lag issue creating false animations. I don’t know how the game’s coding works but it possible that the replay could also be distorted by the lag-inducing bad animations/visuals. The game might be deeply flawed but this would be the most egregious thing I’ve ever seen.

I’ve seen a number of issues recently:
- Fielders get locked after getting the ball. Routine grounders turn into base hits.
- Check swings are bad. Bat went all the way around and nearly touched the opposite shoulder. Check swing ball. Okay?!
- Willie Mays is a lethargic bunter/base runner. Dropped a beautiful bunt and jogged to first and thrown out. Don’t try stealing with him either as I get terrible jumps with him.

Nah, raes is right on this one. It’s a bug. The lag doesn’t affect play outcomes directly. It affects what we see for sure (and therefore the timing of our inputs) but the play had already been decided in this case.

Yet you tell me I take this game very seriously and you imply that I should reduce my playtime. Well maybe you should learn how to read properly. I only made 1 thread where you could've drawn that conclusion and I never said I quit this game entirely, I said I was done. I meant that I was done for the day, yet you apparently interpreted is as me quitting the game completely. I have no control over how you read/interpet things, but again.... straighten your facts out buddy.

The truth is you are addicted to it and a slave to it. Nomatter how bad the game play - You can’t walk away. Ramone could slap your mother & take a [censored] on your front porch & you would still be logging into post & play RS. That is the sad truth.

It’s so hard to care about this game. I mean, I care, in the sense that everything you’ve posted to @raesONE applies to me as well, I log into TSN daily, I post complaints and suggestions for improvement, no matter how bad the gameplay, I can’t walk away. I doubt Ramone would get away with slapping my mother and taking a [censored] on my front porch, because I’m a bit of a shady character IRL and I’d probably kidnap him with some friends and torture him for a while if he did, but whatever. It is a bit of a sad truth though, as you say, because despite all that I’ve just said, I don’t really like this years game. I don’t care about results, I don’t care about improving my skills (Actually, I don’t believe that’s even possible with the game in its current state), I don’t like the gameplay much and I think the content has become a bit silly, with too many super juiced 99s available. It diminishes the sense of achievement when you finally obtain legends like Griffey only to realise there are a multitude of better options available and the only thing that you’re getting is a name and some card art, instead of an elite standout player to improve your DD squad.
That said, I’m still planning to drop over £1000 on next years game, I only play MLB the Show, so the cost of the PS5, 4K monitor and probably a new gaming chair and desk to sit them upon will be purely an MLB the Show expense. I hope I get to take plenty of time off in 2021 so I can enjoy my gaming a bit more, I hope they produce a more balanced game with better planned and delivered content. Now, what exactly is the problem with that?

That guy has been coming at me ever since I tried helping people combat the bunt. He was talking some nonsense about how contact swings would destroy me, which I didn't agree with obviously. But for some reason he felt offended and kept coming at me since. So I blocked him a while ago, not worth the energy.
But yeah I agree with you, to each their own man who cares what other people do and how they do it.

️I was going to simply put “Imagine caring so much about someone else caring.” But why waste a chance to highlight how weak gameplay has been and how absurd the content has become? May as well shoehorn a paragraph or two in there, just in case anyone from SDS is reading.
