@MathMan5072 I keep bouncing around the 600s and low 700s. Feeling like I need to hit better to go further. I have noticed I take less pitches than my opponents. Think I will try to be more patient and see if that helps me score more consistently. I've been having a lot of fun. If you dont have Joe Morgan, I'd recommend trying him out. Hes a force. I've been blown away by his exit velocities
After every loss I always tell myself I’m going to be more patient. I forget that it’s okay to take a strike when it’s not the pitch you’re looking for. After a loss today I messaged the other guy and said I wish I could take pitches like he does.
I'm the same way. I feel like I need to prove to somebody that I can cover the whole strike zone. So I try and end up making weak contact or missing a bunch of pitches and bumping up the pitchers confidence lol. I may try cbrev's method of picking three guys who dont swing until 1 strike, 3 guys who swing after strike 2, and 3 guys who go up hacking
That’s a cool idea. I might try that the next time I lose a game and the other guy has only thrown 60 pitches.

@oreocycle @mrgamebred @bmoo44 @writetoshawn @sbevans142 @ikansu @bhall09 @m_hennion25 @the_dragon1912 @mrcityofwin @lazy_toast @ratbaby407 and anyone else I missed...how’s the quest to mays going. I’m in wild card and am definitely seeing the ball better. But, the competition is starting to get a little better. I’m hoping to be solidly in ds by the end of the weekend.
I haven’t played ranked in a few days truthfully. I’m at like 650ish. I put an order in for mays last Saturday anyway and will get him hopefully sometime next week regardless. Still going to try to make that push though

Sup man. Since this new event came out I’ve solely been playing that. I won 8 games out of like 20. Just to give you an example I just lost a 10 inning event game and his last 5 pitchers were all commons or bronze and I couldn’t hit [censored]. Swear my ball hit a force field after it jumped off the bat. Smoking a bowl now and contemplating how I can burn virtual cards while I play some apex

I went 2-4 today and am back in pr. It is hard to pitch in wc. Too many good hitters on all star. See how it goes tomorrow.
-
I’m just over 700 but like the guy above, have been focusing on the event. Actually been hitting well lately but after playing so much AS on this event, I expect I will struggle at HOF For awhile again in ranked

honestly I've given up on Mays. I'm back into the 500's after facing goon after goon. Last game I played a guy in the 500's, he beat me 15-13 in the 12th... knocked me down 45 points or something into the 500's.

It's been hard to get motivated to really push for WS this year. The gameplay just gets too frustrating to invest 45 minutes to more than an hour in one game, and then have it come down to some random BS or not get rewarded but your opponent does. I made WS once last year, my high this year is 885 and if I'd won that game I would've made it in this year. Last season I got back up to 869 before hitting a losing skid. This season I've already got two disconnect losses, sitting at 660 and probably won't even bother. Playing the event and working on prestiging these Finest cards seems much more appealing.

6 L’s in a row once got to 774

Went 2-1 today, lost first one to a WS banner guy who crushed 3 homers in the first 4 batters. Not sure what he was doing in the mid 700s, I got out of that game. Than won the next two, sitting mid 700s. Don’t see me passing my high of 880 or so this season.

I’ve had a good day. Went 4-1. The 1 was a guy that just hit everything. It was on all star, but I still don’t get how some of these guys can hit everything.

Keep the faith. Don’t sell yourself short. I got 1 game in today. Was down 6-1 in the 5th and rallied to win 10-6. I’m up to 823, which is an all time high for me. This is my first time ever trying to really make WS, which I still view as a long shot. Praying for the right matchups to get there lol -

i agree with that.... there are guys fouling balls in the dirt and hitting balls low and out of the zone for homers... I've actually had to quit a few event games recently because I could not get anyone out, literally guy just keeps getting hit after hit, dinger after dinger...

Ha, yes...we had a pretty good game, you hit a couple solo shots off Kopech to get an early lead in that one....love it when I match up with other forum members.

I think I quit in the fifth. I’m getting better at hitting, but can’t make up 6 runs against a guy that hits like that.

Ended up going 7-2 today and ended at 737. Highest I’ve been this year. Stopping now so I don’t get mad at myself for playing one too many. Hope you guys had some luck too.
-
Went 12-7 for the weekend. Ended at 780. Have only played two game on HOF (1-1), but didn’t feel totally overmatched.
I know most of you guys don’t care, but I’m kinda keeping track for my own sake. Also, maybe some of you will be inspired to be a first timer.
At this point, WS seems like a possibility at least. I’m not saying it’s likely, but I’m saying there’s a chance.
Let me know how you guys are doing.

Well done, buddy! Keep it going.... I have been playing pretty much exclusive events as I work to Prestige a bunch of guys for end game..,don’t even care about the wins but think I am at 46.....did boot up one ranked game today, but the guy sent me a friendly quit invite right away, and since he had Pearson pitching and I wasn’t sure if it was AS or HOF ( didn’t want to be chasing that HOF heater all game after all the AS events), I granted it and headed back to events....

780! You are well on your way @mathman5072. I went 3 and 4 today. Was playing pretty well. Lost 2 on disconnects where I was up and feeling good about winning... It's taking the wind out of my sails honestly. Lost another two to guys who hit everything. I got to figure out why I keep getting dc'd though.
