Why SDS seem to be In love with the sinker ?
-
No answer ? You guys must love the sinker.
-
No I hate the sinker so much, for some reason the high speed is completely overused. Just because one pitcher can do it, does not mean everyone can do it. Nolan Ryan in MLB 20 has a 100 mph sinker but there is no evidence that he can throw that pitch hard.

I believe it's supposed to represent the movement on their fastballs in real life. It may noy be that they have a "sinker" in real life, but fastball that moves a ton

SInker is a FB. Guys who throw it throw it very hard. Some just as hard as their 4 seamer. The problem is the way sinking FB;'s act in the upper part of the strikezone. They retain just as much sink, whereas a real sinking FB would be more flat and look just like a straight FB the more you elevate it.

Hopefully we see some changes in the pitching engine in '21. I'd like more pitches to be viable and sinkers to get punished when theyre hung. Removing the 'hump' from sinkers would help a lot too I believe.

I am a firm believer with the next gen console processing power we are going to see major improvements in the hitting engine. Next gen consoles having better CPUs are going to improve ball physics and therefore improve the feel of the ball of the bat. I’m convinced of that. Same goes with pitching too.

Not to mention a constant fps. That alone will make ball tracking easier.

Unless they build a new engine i doubt it'll be much different.

I don’t think they need to build an entire new engine. I am positive that SDS can improve both pitching and hitting by doing further improvements in the engine. But things like baserunning and fielding need to be completely redone. Tagging and many fielding animations just plain suck in this game. The game is too robotic for my taste. Not enough "natural" mouvements.
