Will the Show for PS5 be a copy and paste?

MLB 20 will definitely be copy/paste
I would expect 21 to not be super updated either. I'm looking at 22 as my expectation for when they need to really deliver a fresh updated game, I'll accept improved gameplay for 21.

This is the spirit. Prepare for more mediocrity in advance to soften the disappointment. Things I expect to carry over from ‘20 are people complaining that the game played great at launch, but subsequent patches ruined it, people complaining that the game hasn’t been skill based since ‘17, people mentioning RNG and ComebackLogic️, people generally complaining about everything and everything.
Things I hope to see, but don’t really expect are create a stadium/ new stadiums, the legends we all want but will never see like Bonds, McGwire and so on and some brand new commentary.
I don’t even dare to dream of a revamped hitting and pitching engine that actually delivers results based on user input, with a PCI that represents the barrel of the bat, isn’t the size of Texas and pitching that actually dots the spot you aimed for consistently, provided your input is accurate, but that’s the dream.

Also please, please, please make a game where very early swings aren’t optimal timing. This game is absolutely garbage to play online.

I mean the one thing they should have no issue fixing is more stable frame rates with the extra firepower. If they can’t fix that we are screwed.

From a development and programming standpoint, if there's going to be a complete overhaul 2022 makes the most sense.

Yeah, but who wants to admit they’re going to buy this exact same game again for another two years? It’s too depressing.

Is SDS not upgrading the game to make it better for next gen consoles? 2k is doing it and their game looks great. I would love to see graphic and animation upgrades. Would be a bummer to see a copy and paste version.
I wouldnt expect this game to be any different, no. NBA 2K will not have another release until the last part of 21. So they are gonna put more effort in upgrading their current version. Hell their season hasnt even started for this years game yet. MLB TS will have a brand new game in the first part of next year. Absolutely no reason to spend time and money on this one when the season could be over in an hour.

Theres a pandemic, not expecting a big upgrade on any console for next year, their not able to work at 100%.

Nah, that was this years excuse. Remember at the start of the year, when they couldn’t get into the office to patch the game because of Corona? I’m not accepting the same excuse twice, when I’ve been working through the pandemic for the last six months like many others.

- Load times (particularly on moments/challenges)
- Minor League Stadiums (including Whataburger field)
These are pretty easy. No load times is the biggest.
