Could we?

Get 99 Trout as the LS collection reward? I think there is a chance, but wanted to see what you guys thought.

For next year you are saying? Not a chance. For the last 3 years the collection rewards have been new legends so I assume they continue that trend

That makes sense. Yes, for next year. I thought maybe they would want to drop him earlier, but you have sound logic.

It's more likely they'll introduce a new high caliber legend next year that will be the LS collection reward. A guy like Roberto Clemente, Hank Aaron or hopefully (but doubtfully) Barry Bonds.

Never. LS Trout is traditionally the gatekeeper to the collection, so he’d instantly be obsolete. In March or April.

This This This This This. Since we are jacked with getting Mays this year. Lets hope for his Godson.

Unfortunately with the fact that Bonds did not even agree to be in the game the last like five years of his career I doubt we will ever see him but maybe he will have a change of heart one day. That card would be too good.

True, only hope we have is that he will be elected in the HOF after all. That way the MLBPA will have his rights and he will be in the game. But that is also doubtful lol.

That's actually not really how rights work, players can be in the HoF while still maintaining full control of his rights

Even if he gets in the Hall, it does not guarantee his inclusion in the game.
When he was a player MLBPA did not have his image rights.I don't remember if he opted out of the union, unlikely since California is not a right to work state (meaning you don't have to join the union if you don't want to).
But Bonds would be a great choice after Roberto Clemente (or his cousin Roger).

Ah I didn't know that, I thought it would be a given if he would be voted in. My bad.

Clemente would be awesome. I would just love to use a card of his in general, I don’t care how good the stats are. Although if I had to guess, this is how they would line up:
120s contact vs both
90s power vs both
100s Vision/discipline
125 clutch
Low 90s fielding
99 arm
94 arm accuracy
Mid 90s reaction
Mid 80s speed
60s-70s stealing -
