Is this "cheesy?"

I saw @Ikasnu mention this in another thread and wanted to know something: Is using a CAP in the bullpen cheesy? I heard Ikasnu say something about it in @WDK19's podcast, but forgot about it until now. I want to do it, but don't want to be shamed. If I did it, what do I do to get him diamond, and with wicked pitches? (I have never had a CAP before, just done the collections for stubs)

You do you...People will tell you yes but when the game is on the line they’ll do what it takes to win same as anybody - bunt, use a reliever w/funky delivery, ect...If you want to make a filthy reliever as your cap then do it man. You don’t have to justify your team choices to anybody but yourself.

i have a submarine cap with the one guy on the giants delivery. My CAP is 5 foot 5 inches tall and throws 100 mph. You may not be able to hit him, thats why i use him.

This made me laugh. I will probably try him then. lol

People do a hell of a lot worse in this game man. CAP is a CAP no matter where it is. I don’t use a CAP for the simple reason that this is my first year and I have no clue how it works. I also sold pretty much every diamond piece of equipment I ever received

This is my second year of DD, first actually playing it a lot. Therefore, I unwisely sold EVERY silver or lower player I got for a few weeks...… I also sell all of my equipment. I can always buy it if I need to.

Lol it's cheese..but it's fair game

If anyone has access to one, it’s fair game. It’s in the game for a reason

How do you choose what pitches he has then?

you dont the game gives you 3 pitches depending on your archtype. Basically the only cheese is 100 mph fastball with 70 on the changeup and a cutter

Got it. Thanks!

I consider 6’10” submarine lefties throwing 100 mph fastballs and 72 mph changeups to be cheesier than the pulled pork quesadilla I had for lunch today.

Its no more cheesey then a switch hitting power catcher with 75 speed.

The ones who say it's cheesy are the ones who can't hit off of them.
I have a CAP reliever submariner, and even named him First Name: Cheesy, Last Name: Sub who has been untouchable, and boasts a 0.99 ERA in 300+ innings. So who cares, it's not like just because I have a cheesy reliever that it means somehow it's going to automatically get me to WS Division, lol.

I feel for your toilet, lolz

I do consider it cheese.
As pointed out above, yes everyone can do it, and I choose to put myself at a disadvantage by not doing it, but I still think that qualifies as cheese, even if everyone can do it.
That said, I'm not going to dwell on it for longer then a second or to if I see someone using it, that's their choice. It's whatever to me.
