Moments...Have You Ever Noticed?
-
Why does EVERY hitting moment start with runners on 2nd and 3rd for the first at bat?
Do they do this intentionally to keep you from immediately restarting? When you fly out you have to wait for them to throw home to get the runner tagging.
Or are they just that lazy that they copy n paste code and change the moment requirements to beat it?
If you don't believe me, start with the Votto moments and go backwards through all the player programs and tell me if you find one that doesn't start this way in the first at bat.
I know this is petty AF but it now annoys me once you notice it you can't un-notice it lol

True things man

What, you don't like having to watch Tommy Pham casually jog back into the dugout and drink 3 cups of water before you can restart?

Brian Anderson moment starts with a guy on second only. But I’m just being a smart [censored], your point taken

I legit don’t understand why we can’t restart right away? Why do we have to watch the play out before restarting? It’s just dumb.
-
Even with the runners on base, the pitch count is zero when your batter steps to the plate.
-
Its to force clutch rating to take effect too honestly its aggravating seeing impossible situations like the 0 pitches or a runner on 2nd and 3rd but you're batting lead off or 2nd in the order but whatever who needs real baseball rules
-
Instead of “difficulty” ratings like veteran, all star, etc, moments should come with a “how many times you’ll need to attempt this before the sliders will allow you to succeed” rating.
It really feels like input is irrelevant, especially when the most efficient way to hit XBH is to switch to directional and point up.
Baserunners stop ahead of you so you can’t leg out a double, outfielders do miraculous superman diving catches to rob you, or throw you out at second on balls deep in the gap...
Moments are really egregious manipulation.
