Chipper is the BR reward, what a waste

Look, I have about 2.5 million stubs, so cost isn’t the issue, but what a brain dead decision to put one of the more popular players of the last 25 years behind a massive wait queue since no one is playing Br anymore. I wonder how many Chippers will even be “won” by the end of the month, maybe 50 (for the thousands of people still playing DD).

That’s pretty awful, but maybe they figured people That can’t get him will be happy with JRam.

I figured this would happen. Just like Wagner. We already had a serviceable Wagner, dropped a beefed up BR one. Same with Chipper

That’s pretty awful, but maybe they figured people That can’t get him will be happy with JRam.

I think he was a World Series reward last year and you could only get him in 17 if you traded in Pepe Alazar. I didn't play 18 so I'm not sure how the immortal was unlocked.
Point being, his top tier card has consistently been a pain in the [censored] to get. I'm not at all surprised he is a BR reward.

His Vet card is so good that I won't miss his best version
On the other hand he has really become the most elusive guys in the game always being pretty hard to aquire

Again, it isn’t about stubs, it’s about time. For one of the most popular players best card to be released in mid-October (just like last year) and then behind a huge wait queue is just a bad decision (one of the first the SDS content team has made this year to be fair).

Again, it isn’t about stubs, it’s about time. For one of the most popular players best card to be released in mid-October (just like last year) and then behind a huge wait queue is just a bad decision (one of the first the SDS content team has made this year to be fair).
The late arrival of his card I get totally but at the same time I get why he is there as he is a sought after card that people will pay for add in the number of stub floating around I dont think it's a miss step in that context

Like Billy Wagner, the last 12-0 reward? Soooo..... Let’s imagine I’m the stereotype of SDS ideal customer. Billy Wagner or Chipper, if you prefer, is my favourite player of all time. I want his best card and money is no object. I log on at the weekend and I see - WOW! A brand new 99 version of my favourite player!! I reach for the old wallet and I buy $700 worth of stubs with no thought, because money is no object and I’m SDS ideal customer. I place my order and wait expectantly. And wait. And wait. And wait. The reality here is, of course, I’m never going to see that card. If I do, it might be Christmas by then and a whale like me who spends that much on entertainment and wants instant gratification has probably moved on to PS5. People might want to pay for him, but they simply won’t be able to.

I just saw the numbers on the chipper card and there’s no way that card is worth $1M stubs to me. I have plenty but I’m not spending them on that.
