I don’t have a problem with it because it won’t be that significant of a difference from prestige chipper. Only contact and power vs righties will be any different. Some of you can’t get over the fact that the Chipper available isn’t a 99 though. 96 Chipper is still very usable
It's like if a guy doesn't have a 99 he is worthless in this community
Well if you compare the 91 Alomar to the 99 Alomar, or the 92 Piazza to the 99 Piazza or LS Chris Sale to SS Chris Sale, you might see why people don’t particularly want to take the lesser versions online.
That is different though. The 99 Chipper will be worse vs lefties than the 94/96. Significant upgrade to contact and power vs R, same speed, Fielding, reaction, etc.

It’s not that different in my opinion and regardless of SS chipper being a significant upgrade over veteran Chipper, it makes no sense locking the best versions of popular players away from the majority of the remaining player base. It’s a head scratcher.
I hate BR personally, it’s a garbage mode that is more akin to super slugfest ‘96 on Sega Genesis, where mashing the swing button as early as possible and hitting countless home runs takes precedence over anything resembling baseball. It’s a “hurr durr, I crushed that ball! Badass!!” mode designed for little kids, not a skill based mode that should award the best of the best cards in the game as prizes.
All that said, I’m happy to stay the hell away from it and give someone a million stubs for the cards, if they can suffer the misery of playing twelve straight crappy 3 inning games on all star without going insane. I can’t. Trouble is, that’s not an option either. There aren’t enough cards to fill supply and as we’ve seen with Wagner, the queue grows and grows and grows. We all know SDS could fill those orders. They could give themselves a thousand Wagners or Chippers on a burner account and clear the back log. Same with AJ Ramos or whoever. Instead, they continue to release cards the best versions of cards like Chipper, Alomar and even first year debutante Tom Glavine in a manner that seems wildly inappropriate.

I just saw the numbers on the chipper card and there’s no way that card is worth $1M stubs to me. I have plenty but I’m not spending them on that.

I paid up for Alomar and he’s been good, but it’s more about the fact that the option simply isn’t going to be there for most people to even use the card and decide if it’s worth the stubs.

Im a huge SDS fanboy but they missed the mark severely here...
Going to be 1000+ orderS for chipper and the people that are good enough to get him will have him locked in not looking to sell.
Tsk tsk
I agree however... Wouldn't it be great though if there was another really great switch hitting 3rd baseman who was just released and pretty easy to get...
If there was only a program where said player could be gotten from
