Yeah him and Voit! Although, I did not see either one of them becoming as good as they are. And let’s pump the brakes on Randy A. Mark Lemke terrorized either the Twins or the Blue Jay in the post season.....or maybe both I can’t remember. He certainly wasn’t the next coming.

It wasn't just the PS though, Arozerana had a hot September. I don't think we are looking at elite talent here, but this is a guy who can hit .280-.300 while going 20/15

Also here is a list of players the Cardinals let go to early in recent trades.
    Randy Arozerana
    Tommy Pham
    Luke Voit
    Sandy Alcantara
    Zac Gallen
    Marco Gonzalez

Feel like crying yet? Because I sure do.

I feel your pain the Cubs in the last 3/4 years have traded Gleyber Torres, Luis Robert both have turned into unbelievable players. I know the Cubs won the world series which is great but it still hurts.

He’s really good. I deal sports cards too. His cards went up 10x the price almost over night. Hope he keeps it up.

I’m not for sure Jeimer Candelario qualifies also but he had a really great year this year after 3 years of garbage and hopefully makes for a promising career. Cubs traded him for Justin Wilson

I agree but let’s try and be objective. I’m doing this by memory so if I’m wrong let me know.
    Luke Voit = Giavonny Gallegos
    Sandy Alcantara = Marcel Ozuna
    Tommy Pham = Matthew Liberatore
    Zack Gallen/Carson Kelly = Goldy
    Marco Gonzalez = Tyler O’Niel
I was fine trading Alcantara at the time cuz we desperately needed a bat in the lineup. However, after Ozuna’s subpar hitting and circus antics in the outfield (like climbing the wall only to fall directly on his face), I was happy to let him walk.
I NEVER thought Voit would become the hitter he his but even at that, we got Gallegos who is one of the best bullpen arms in MLB. I would’ve been ok trading Carp and keeping Voit, but the Cards brass saw fit to give Carp a no trade clause.
Kelly/Gallen for Goldy.....we don’t even need to discuss that one.
We got a great pitching prospect for 32 year old Tommy Pham.
The only one that really bothers me is the Tyler ONiel trade. I’d love to have Marco Gonzalez back! Predicting the future is tough man. I didn’t think the deals were all that bad at the time they were made.

Yeah bro if you win the WS, kinda makes it worth it.......especially since Haley’s Comet has passed the earth twice since you had last won. Lol

Gallen was actually not part of the Goldy deal, we traded him to Marlins, he was part of the Ozuna deal.

And realistically not resigning Ozuna + His him not being great in his two years here and losing Alcantara and Gallen in that deal means we lost it.

And we didn't get Liberatore in the Pham deal, we got Genesis Cabrera, who definitely has promise, but Rays got a better return when they traded him.

The Liberatore deal was for Arozerana and Jose Martinez

I see like I said I didn’t google it. Yeah it sucks seeing these guys excel elsewhere, but in terms of Ozuna, bro I watch almost every Cardinal game.........he was atrocious in the field and would show flashes at the plate, and then disappear.

The only one I miss would be Pham, but he's continued to have trouble staying healthy. Voit did most of his damage at Yankee stadium which is much more hitter friendly. He added zero defensive value which is part of the benefit of trading for Goldy.

Arozarena was the only young OF we had with any real trade value. Bader bombed, O'neill didn't look great in limited MLB action, and Lane Thomas got hurt. We needed a LHP, Liberatore fits the bill and was a high ranking prospect. Got to give a little to get a little.

Bro I hear you but it ain’t like they got a crystal ball!! I we knew about Alcantara was he throws upper 90’s. Ok so does 98% of pitchers these days. Gallen came out of no where! I get it......that’s what GM’s get paid to do but it’s a roll of the dice in baseball. That’s my opinion anyway which doesn’t mean squat!

True, they don't have a crystal ball, but outside of the Goldy trade, we aren't winning in deals we make. I'm not saying we've gotten nothing from those deals, but if players continually blossom once they get traded away, it's clear the Cardinals either aren't equipped at the Major League level to get the most out of their young guys, or they just aren't good at evaluating blossoming talent.

    Who is this guy?

Ask the Cardinals. They let him go 😁

The only one you miss? I know pitching isn't exactly a need for the Cardinals, but are you saying you'd take 2018 and 2019 Ozuna over a rotation that would be Jack Flaherty / Zac Gallen / Sandy Alcantara / Adam Wainwright / and either Kim/Cmart or someone similar

I agree that something is amiss.
