I haven't been able to hit with him either. Off the top of my head I think I'm hitting maybe .130 with him or something like that. I love his D though and that strong arm really helps. Reading on here it seems like most people can smash the ball with him, so that, and me being a lifelong Padre fan I'm sticking it out with him and hoping he comes around.

lmao same, i just realised today through about 40AB I'm hitting below 100 with him with 1 XBH. Every other hitter in my lineup is over 330. I don't know what it is I just can't get anything going at all.

Most of my hitters at .300 and .400.
Tatis in like 93 at bats is batting .196.
I do have 8 HRs with him though and hit a walk off HR with him last night.
I want so bad to be good with him. Hoping when I hit prestige it was just a fluke.
He’s been bad enough that I’m really not considering the next lightning player. No matter how good they look.

Try Pulling the ball with Tatis, I was the same the first couple of games, I am now starting to rake with him, noticed he has more pop when you hit the ball on the early.

He neeeeds to be in the zone to smack one. You just can not chase if you want to be successful with Tatis. Players like Cobb and Bryce can still get good wood a little out of the zone. But Tatis forget about it If you don’t hit it in the zone.

I started off like .100 with him but went on a 4 game hr streak with him...I think I was just being impatient thinking every hit would be a bomb....just started waiting for stuff to hit and hes batting slightly better now

I've resorted to using him for a bunt against the shift - can't hit it out the infield when he swings normally!

I also locked in 200K stubs. He is doing insane for me though. Mostly in conquest.

I suck with Tatis, but I still enjoyed the grind to get him. I also got Castellanos from it who is probably my best hitter.

Thinking about it to the the point of coming on here to post a complaint is pretty telling.
This dude hates baseballs I batted .224 with the base with half the hits being HR’s. Now his prestige is batting .298

How did you guys get the lightning Tatis? I have literally opened 1000 packs and got nothing. Am I missing something? Using PS5 in case it may be a system specific glitch.

SaveFarris already has you covered with the answer, but I'd like to add that unless those were free packs you earned in the game, there is no reason why you should be ripping that many packs.
You can spend your stubs however you like, but if you're trying to obtain good cards, packs are not the way to do it. Even with the better packs like the Beach Ball one, you're better off flipping a card a couple times on the market to earn enough stubs to just buy the player you want outright.

I play mostly offline and when I first unlocked him he came out of the gate like a bat out of hell. In his first maybe 100 at bats he had like 15 HR. I have had him get some clutch HR for me but now he has been struggling a bit. I rotated him to the bench for mondasi. Seems like he is either great or sucks for people.
For me that is Finest Machado and any Belli. I just suck with them.
