Wow. Gagne singlehandedly dragged my team through the Ruth moments.
vs CPU and vs HUMAN is two VERY different things.
I could win vs CPU with a common pitcher yet get my tuchas kicked with a diamond pitcher vs a real opponent.
Apples and oranges.

He's been solid for me. Fingers is my guy though. 40 innings online with only 2 ER allowed.

Everytime I bring him up in the 9th to save a game I hang a lot of his offspeed pitches. OMG, I’m seriously considering dropping him out of my pen!
I've always thought Gagne was pretty easy to read. I'd initially thought one of those you were talking about might have been against me, but it was actually someone right after we played. I actually used to use him but sold him a while back after getting lit up pretty consistently.
You pitch really well, by the way. That was a fun game.

Same here 0 and 4 now with 5 blown saves COMPLETE HOT GARBAGE...............
-
I really like him and he also closed out 90% of my Ruth games flawlessly
and online he's been good for me too -
I can’t time his release worth a [censored] but I do ok anyways with him. I love seeing him on the mound when I’m hitting now though. He’s like Kluber for me I used to be completely lost trying to hit him and now that I’ve had 1,000 at bats against him I’m getting out on perfect/perfect line outs and warning track fly balls instead of striking out

Playing against the CPU or against online opponents is a huge difference though. Against the CPU only the attributes really matter, which Gagne obviously has plenty. Online that doesn't mean anything and in my opinion Gagne always gets hit hard as well. He's not that tough to pick up on and a lot of his offspeed has the same speed and hangs a lot.
I’m sure. I just remember during the Ruth moments on HOF the computer was forcing A LOT of floating pitches in the zone and Gagne and later Seaver were the two I didn’t have that happen with.

Thanks and yes it was, ggs to you. That run you scored in the 8th destroyed my faith

Injury Shminjury

I kid you not, my best bullpen arm out of the whole bunch is Rodney followed by Fingers. And I’ve tried them all
-
I hate that card as well

Trevor Hoffman enters the room

OP card if you can't use it you may be better off playing something else.
This person is what is wrong with the world. It is probably a child so i don't blame you, I blame your parents.
-
Well, it seems like everybody hates his 98 card
-
Kimbrel is a henchmen, thanks God. I will happily get Gagne out!

In 2018 and 2019, Eric Gagne was hands down my best reliever, this year he has a 5.73 ERA.
For context, Billy Wagner has a 2.48 ERA and Rollie Fingers has a 3.19 ERA

Yeah, but in all fairness, all pitchers have a higher ERA in '20 compared to '18 or '19.
I've found that pitchers who have "floaty" offspeed, like Gagné, get hit nmore when they throw those pitches while guys like Wagner, whose curveball doesn't have that "rainbow" trajectory, can get away with those pitches more.

That's why I used context though, that Wagner and Fingers ERA is from 20, not previous games, my other relievers have pretty good numbers, Gagne doesn't.
Yes, I do agree pitchers have a higher ERA then past years, but I can still pitch with others a lot better, Gagne just isn't good.

He's still there but now as a set-up man for Mariano; just reversed the two!
