Home Vs. Away

So, I have stated before, this is my 1st year playing the game. I've dove into it and learned most of the ins and outs. For most of the year I have played not paying attention to home vs. away (delay in the menu) but after reading many posts on here I decided to do an experiment.
So prior to this I was pretty much a .500 RS player. I did have a rough start and didn't really know what I was doing at 1st so I lost quite a few games early on, but I got it back to around .500 and just hung there, not being able to make any progress.
I decided I was going to play a block of games where I kept the search bar pinned and only played as the home team and see what happened. As much as I hate the idea, I backed out of every game that I wasn't the home team.
My record for the last 25 games is 21-4. Now on my end I haven't really seen anything that feels like I'm getting gifts but, having been on the other side previously, I'm sure the other player is getting the wrong end of it.
Most of these games have been close, good games, I remember getting absolutely rocked in at least 1 game but for the most part it seems like in these evenly matched games where the ratings are similar the home advantage seems to tip it just enough to make a difference.
Now there are alternate explanations. Better, or at least more experienced players tend to be aware of the ability to choose to be the home team so theoretically you may get weaker opponents because they are not backing out and trying to do the same thing you are, but the Rankings are still close, and some of these games I've won the opposing team had very good records.
I'm not sure how this can be addressed, but it is an obvious issue.

Ok, so before anyone fact checks me I may have looked at all the games I played total and not just RS... So it may not be as extreme as 21-4... I didn't think I played 25 RS games over this period... I actually think I'm 13-2 over this period on RS because I'm almost positive I started this at 113-113. The point is I'm having way more success just cherry picking home games and the fact that this is a thing and there seems to be a clear advantage to doing so is a problem.

You could just be hot or continuing to improve. I've been having better luck on the road lately. So much so, that I have backed out a couple times when I'm the home team

which park do you choose as the home team? I know guys that have speed teams choose forbes and small ball wins like crazy

It’s because of the servers is my guess. I couldn’t tell you specifically but I can tell you it’s a known phenomenon. You hear streamers when they’re 8-9 wins into a BR run, “home games only,” because of this exact thing.
I’ve tested it myself and found similar results so I do back out in event games if I’m away. Is what it is

stupid question but how can you tell (while you still have a chance to back out of it) if you are the home or away team?

If you are away there is bit of lag in the selection menu..,...I wouldn’t buy too much into this though

When you are home, there is no lag when you scroll your pitchers or lineup

These are not forums that I would be explaining how to exploit the game or other gamers. They’ve banned people for less based on what has been said in a forum.

That wasn't my intention in starting this, but it's literally part of the game. I just had a game where it was close, I was losing 2-1 in the 7th and got the win because of a disconnect. Maybe that has nothing to do with being the home team but I personally see an advantage to being home connection and lag wise. As people wise up to this it may start to get difficult to even get a game. This is def. something that needs to be addressed going forward.
I'd like to see dedicated servers, even at the expense of an increase in price. And more transparency, this would be really fun if this could get to E-Sport level quality and competition, and that would mean patching all of these exploits like the home team and freezeouts, etc.
