Growing up 20 min from STL, I was luck to have watched The Wiz as a kid growing up. I can tell you he’s the greatest defensive player of all time....and it’s really not even close. If you didn’t see him, you really missed something special. Many don’t know that prior to ‘86, he had a cannon for an arm!! SDS doesn’t even know that but I’m not surprised. After hurting his shoulder, he was the first to start utilizing the turf and one hopping the first baseman when throwing runners out. Unfortunately, his skill set just doesn’t play in the game. Vizquel is the closest thing and honestly The Wiz was head and shoulders better than Omar.
