Playing all year

In years past Football season would start up right when I grew bored with MLBTS content. I’d fire up Madden and not think about MLBTS until after the Super Bowl.
This year was different. Madden 20’s addition of ‘Abilities’ was an offensive cash grab. Whereas my Run and Shoot offense was a viable alternative to the Meta in years past, this year’s online gameplay was so unbelievably one dimensional that I likely won’t purchase another Football game until the return of the NCAA series.
Secondly, and just as important, MLBTS19 content was excellent and kept me engaged through January. Bravo SDS! Bravo!

Funny how your crowd says 'Bravo SDS! Bravo!,' while my crowd says 'Booo SDS! Boooooo', and other crowds are straight throwing tomatoes at them.

Best part is we're ALL throwing our wallets at them.

I'm flattered to know you think I have a crowd, but really I'm just a guy who has been playing this game since MLBTS16. Before that I rotated between The Show and MLB2K on the PS2. Each year the game gets a little bit better. 16 would have been perfect without the bunt cheese. 17 added more missions, but the missions kind of sucked because a lot of it focused on eating innings and grinding stats against the CPU on specific difficulties with specific cards. 18 was all about power hitters and collecting digital hats which was absolutely horrible.
MLBTS 19 wasn't perfect, but comparatively speaking it was the best version by far and SDS is moving in a positive direction whereas EA is not.

Baseball is life! I’m addicted to BR right now, that’s all I’ve been playing the last couple of months

Collecting cards all season kept me interested. Brought me back to the days of collecting growing up - minus the need of finding space for the boxes of physical cards.

I just love baseball, So much content and so much different things you can work on. Now if your are strictly RS person and do not play any other mode i see why one would get bored. If you do not care about collecting cards and finishing collections yeah one would get bored. SDS made it easy to collect cards this year without spending any cash.

what keeps your playing Diamond Dynasty all year? Seems like I start out playing the first few months then I stop. What keeps you going?
Is it because you get bored of the game after that timeframe, or because other responsibilities keep you from playing it from that point forward?...just curious to know why you stop after first few months.
Great question and that is what I always ask myself. It might be a little bit with work and family etc. I need to learn to be patient and not try to collect everything in the beginning and enjoy the grind. This year I feel focused to stay engaged all year. Kicking myself because last yr the content was non stop. Hopefully this year will be the same

I played most of the year. Although I took a break early (I didn't get the second or third inning rewards) but then kicked in again and got at least 300 stars in every program through the tenth. I started the 11th and did the first couple of conquest maps before stopping.
What kept me going was the constant flow of content, new programs, moments, conquest maps, etc. I always felt like some new card was available to me without investing weeks and weeks in a grind. Because that is what turned me off last year. I looked at the end goal, those end game cards at the end of a long grind, coupled with collections and souvenirs and I knew that I was going to burn out long before I got there. I stopped playing before June even came around.

The ability to continuously improve as a player and improve my team.
The want to face different people and see how I measure up to them throughout the season.
The need to see how many people will post useless threads on the forums bemoaning the game cause they can't hit a HR on every pitch.
I'd keep going on but those are a few examples

I think Everyone liked the content. Most people that are competitive in the game aren’t happy with the hitting.

Just tired of seeing same complaints in 100 different threads. Nothing to be alarmed about
