I’ve dedicated a lot of time to this game over the last two years and plan on spending a lot more in the future. I’ve always been on wireless because of where my system and my router are. I’ve never really noticed lag on my end. But, to be honest, I might not even know that I’m seeing it. All I know is that sometimes fastballs are easy to see and sometimes they look like 150. I’m thinking of moving to hardwire and I have two questions.

    1. Will I see a major difference with hardwire?

    2. Will ethernet cable (cat 5 vs cat 6 vs cat 7) make a difference? I’m on att fiber and use the router from att if that’s helpful.

Thanks for any advice. I can’t wait to be sitting on my couch in two weeks coming up with the best strategy to get the team I want.

I'm not sure about hardwire vs wireless but from the sounds of your post, you play on a tv. If you're looking to change your setup for a competitive edge, the biggest difference-maker would be to switch from tv to monitor. It doesn't even have to be a good monitor. I switched last year and would strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to play The Show even semi-seriously.

I know that’s what I should do. But, the setup at my house isn’t really conducive to setting up a monitor for this year. I was hoping that doing this might make some difference.
