This season doesn’t really count right? WS champs are still Nats until next year.
That’s a pretty dumb assessment....

Meh, both MLBPA + owners had opportunity to have a longer season but wasted that on contract terms back-and-forth. You’ve got how many guys out right opting out of the season which is unprecedented.
Then you start and stop and restart a spring training interrupting the standard flow of the players + teams and then jam as many games as possible into an accelerated schedule and god forbid teams miss games due to COVID then rescheduling and stacking even more games.
I love baseball but this has just been pushed out for the purposes of revenue and the risk of personal health for countless seems unnecessary.
I think reasonably they should have just scrapped the season and tried again next year.

Which part exactly? I’m too dumb to assess that.

People are saying it’s totally rigged. So much corruption. There should be an armed rebellion. Unless I win, of course.

It’s only one part...

It’s definitely a unique achievement/season, but it counts, regardless. Plus, SOMEONE has to go out and win it, right?
I’m a homer that wants my Stros to win it all, of course. Haters be darned, but guarantee I’d humbly enjoy and accept another championship.
But if I were at the Las Vegas sportsbook, I’d def roll the dice with Slam Diego. (I’d still put money on my Stros, but I’d def drop some coinage on the Padres. Dark horse: CWS).
-
The season will count, just cannot say a 60 game season will be respected. And as for the Nationals still champs? No, they will lose that after this year for sure. Pathetic showing. Got to be embarrassed. Maybe that shouldnt count lol. If they werent the former Expos I would be all for that.

Really? I cannot even keep up woth who is playing for the Astros this year. So many rookies that arent ready because of other players injuries. Not to mention their best starter, best closer and best hitter are, and have been out for the season. Plus Brantley missed 2 weeks, Bregman was out forever, and Altuve out. All rookie bulpen at one point, lol. I wouldnt bet on them making the playoffs.

If the Houston Asteriks can still keep the title after cheating. Surely, playing a 60 game season counts.
-
Whoever wins this year is the 2020 is legit. In some respects it will be harder to win it. Best of 3, best of 5, best of 7, best of 7 after a 60 game sprint. You could almost flip a coin for the best of 3 and best of 5. Also, there are pretty much no off days until you clinch. So, you need more than 2 pitchers to win it and can’t just hang your hat on a couple bullpen arms.
If you make it through that still standing, you get to fly that banner and deserve to.
Edit: I originally thought there was a play in wx game. So edited my post. Still insane, though.
-
It counts, but it just doesn't seem quite right. Just like the career HR record, and we all know how that went down.
-
There are teams playing 3 double headers in a 2 weeks and 2 of those games being on the road but counting as home games. Just saying. Its crazy.
-
Still the reigning and defending champion in all of sports...

If the Dodgers, Astros or Yankees win it all, no it does not count. Anyone else it counts though
Don't worry about the Astros. They're not winning anything if they don't know what pitch is coming. Yankees can't stay healthy. Stanton is getting tons of money to be on IL constantly. They will pay Judge which is a big mistake. Of course he is really good when healthy but he is never healthy either.
Dodgers are really good. My pick to win the WS this year.
