I’m not sure bad hitter = Directional Hitter. I’m sure there are plenty of terrible zone hitters.
I’m not sure what this post has anything to do with what the OP was saying. Seems pretty presumptive of you to assume that the OP was saying what you’re alluding to
It was implied. A person can make a reasonable conclusion based on past posts, general sentiment and evidence ( thread history ) kinda like a court room.
Quite a few people came to the same conclusion that the OP implied that his opponent didn’t deserve the win because his opponent used directional ( again , assumed because there is no way to know for sure what input opponent uses ). The history of these forums, there is one known fact. Zone is the superior input for skilled players.
OP just salty he lost is all
Wait, so are you a detective or lawyer in this scenario? I don’t believe court rooms rely on general sentiment and then not sure my post history is peppered habitually with posts regarding this matter so I’d question your detective skills as well. You have inferred something on your own accord and is not reflective of anything literally written.
I thought that this was a forum where individuals could postulate ideas and thoughts with the common community regarding things such as state of play and potential improvements.
Bottom line: boy I think I’d be a neat idea if people with similar gameplay settings were matched up to each other.

You are trying too hard to change the narrative. Your original post was salty as hell. Take the L and move on

I think they when entering into a ranked season game, they should have different rooms of hitting settings. When you enter you’re locked in for the game and/or stuck being paired against similar type players. Evens the gameplay out to playing against liked opponents.

I know, if only I tried this hard during my games!! And believe my narrative has been the same since my second sentence. Thanks though!!

As simple as that.

Not simple if it’s a flawed argument
It’s based on a premise that zone and directional are not on same playing level . When you base it on a lie, it is not simple.
We are all on same playing level no matter which input we use.
Difference is , some people get salty ( OP) when they lose to someone who chose the input with the high floor. They made a choice for themselves that a floor of 4 on a 1 to 10 scale is better than their skill at zone.
OP argument is false because he bases it on a lie that he HAS to play zone. Both players have the option of zone and directional throughout the game.
I repeat.... SAME LEVEL PLAYING FIELD .
If you want your ideas to be taken seriously, then phrase them correctly.

Boy, now I’m a salty liar. If you want your counter arguments to be taken seriously, please point out where I “lied” and noted that I “HAVE” to play on a certain input mechanic.
Also, I really feel like you’re overusing the word “salty”....can you provide any other synonyms?

Irritated is same as salty
So yes, you are a liar when you say you are not salty
Peeved
Irritated
Salty
Pissed
Annoyed
And on and on. -

And on and on.I personally like “irked”. Don’t hear it commonly so that’s a fun one.
Feel free to refer to second post on the matter where I end with the following:
Also, entirely plausible I’m just salty. But this has been fun!!

Zone and directional are two different games. I always assume I am playing people who are using zone which hurts me some games. I think if we have to play together, there should be a notification when someone is using or switches to directional hitting bc the strategy for pitching to someone using directional is completely different
-
Are we going to throw analog hitters under the bus too? Or are they an exception to the rule here? Directional requires no skill at all, which is why I use so often or I just switch back to pure analog. If you can pick up that a person is using directional during a match up, just throw up and or anything UP in the strike zone and they will pop out 90% of the time. Once I find someone found out that I am using directional, I'll switch to analog and that UP zone approach will no longer work. But honestly, look at my record - it's a laughing joke and I'm not even mad about it. I just suck at hitting and I'm not going to get any better.

Read the 2nd paragraph, if has everything to do with what the OP wrote.
It appears you have it wrong as he has clarified several times that he was not making that point. You assumed or better yet inferred something that was not stated. And we all know what assumptions do.

Does anyone else find it weird that two Mets fans are arguing here?? I guess you guys gotta try and find any avenue for wins. To be clear, this is a joke about how the Mets suck.
Never once said opponent was a bad hitter and commented at least twice that his timing skill was clearly very good.

“Literally swinging at 90% of the pitches”. That doesn’t seem like a positive comment, providing you weren’t throwing 90% strikes. The Mets do suck, we agree!

Wrong again Mr. Met!! My projection of his swing percentage is neither positive nor negative, merely reflective of the frequency by which the opponent swung. My acknowledgment of his timing skill still stands.
Signed, a Nats fan who is adamant that this season doesn’t count and we are still rightful WS champs until at least 2021

Directional you can press X every pitch and get extremely lucky with hits , eventually a pitch will hang and it's gone , me and friend tested it out he just hit X every pitch and even with my decent pitching he still scored 7 runs

Yea this is my first year playing DD and I used directional for a bit to see what works best in the game. Directional is not that easy. The pitch has to be pretty much down the middle for the “hold up and to the left” to work. If it’s on the corners or high that strategy won’t work. So yes you can get easy homers but a good pitcher can beat directional most of the time. I switched back to zone and can get hits that I couldn’t using directional. My two cents take it as you will
