Automatic diving outfielders
-
For some reason my outfielders sometimes make a big dive while the ball just came off my opponent's bat while I don't touch a single button other than my left stick to position them towards the ball. When I press L2 to switch to the next outfielder, he also dives resulting in the ball rolling into the gap. Pretty hilarious sight, but easy flyouts turn into triples and that's not as hilarious in my humblest opinion.
Anyone ever experience this?

Happened to me twice this week on routine fly balls but one of my other outfielders came over to make the grab both times

Well I manually switched in a reflex because the LF dove and was clearly out of position, but as soon as I switched to my CF he also dove for no reason whatsoever resulting in both guys being way out of position.

Camping under a ball at the track and my CF dove forward allowing for a 2 out triple in a late inning 0-0 game allowing one to score. I don’t rage quit often but this called for it

happened early in the year for me. bought a new controller hasn't happened since

I thought of that as well, but I just so happen to use a new controller.

That's so weird. I will say the big dive is always hilarious when your opponent does it while your bomb is in the air. It's almost akin to someone slamming their fist on the desk.
-
This has happened to me multiple times in the past week or so and I bought my controller in the past two months. Has to be a glitch because if it was the controller then you would think the button that controls diving would also be randomly doing other things as well(like swinging) and it’s not.

Just curious if you are still experiencing this at all? I thought it was gone and then a couple of night ago it happens to
Me in BR.Tonight it just happened 4-5 times between 2 RS games. I’m thinking of buying another controller, but it’s ridiculous how fragile these things are. Mine is just over 2 months old. I never slam it, my dogs don’t touch it, I don’t have kids. If it’s the controller I’m getting a warranty on the next one.

Happened to me only one time. Only thing I can think of, is I must have inadvertently pressed down/downward on the joystick while moving towards the ball (comparable to when someone perfectly times stealing as you begin your stretch, where the defensive view appears suddently as your pitcher dives off the mound). But the fact that it happens when you press L2 is very odd and also rules out this theory I suppose.
I realize it has been a couple weeks since the initial post, so hopefully you haven't had any issues since then.

I haven't really been playing, so I can't really say. But I never have issues with other games.

It's supposed to help with the connect. That's if you're using it wirelessly. If your connected it won't matter. (Controller that is. Not the PS4 connection to the internet,)
