If you're really stuck, build a speed team. Bunt cheese your way on and hold R2 while taking 2 secondary leadoffs. You'll steal 2nd and 3rd everytime. Then you just gotta hope for a bit of luck to pot the run, and pitch your way to the win.

1B is the best spot, then LF imo. His arm is too weak in RF.

I also prefer to have right handers in RF due to the throwing animation when getting the ball in from a ball in the gap.

Keep pushing man, Ruth is 100% worth it

Since unlocking him and using him primarily in HOF/Legend games in RS, he’s hitting close to .500 for me and everything you square up with him is an absolute bomb or missile in the gap.

End game 1B that I doubt will ever be replaced

I only think I would replace him at first when ever the drop Lou. I crushed with him last year any offspeed pitch low in the zone was a dinger. Then just move Ruth to LF and Ellsbury to the bench. Once I get trout done and finally unlock Ruth I will have to figure out where to put them both with Mickey in CF and Walker in RF.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be playing games on Hall of Fame mode, nor did I think I would ever complete this.

Only two wins left, one against the AL in six innings, and one against the all-time stars in nine innings, and the Ruth card is mine.

I have lucked out quite a bit, except for the last game, which took me three tries and 16 innings to win.

    An absolutely insane grind, though.

Almost there, keep it up!!!! the babe will make your lineup so much better!

    Nice work!

I took my time on the Ruth program ever since it was released. I pushed through the All-Star games, but then did one HoF game every other day or more. Some went easier than others. Usually I was able to just run my normal God squad on HoF, but the last 9-inning game ended up being tougher than I thought - extra innings and then the All-timers would walk it off with a HR. Finally on my third try at the 9-inning game, I made a team of high contact+speed guys. Lou Brock came through with two HRs and the team as a whole drove in 5. Super rewarding experience.

And then Ruth - in his first RS start - hit a moonshot.

For some reason I can’t get it going with Babe, any advice? Ruth and Musial have played the same amount of games, slight differential in AB but Babe is .150 ish with 8hr but Stan is raking above .350 with 21hr.
    I’m lost and confused

I got up to 62 something towards it. I did start. As far a HOF games left I’ve got the 6 innings against AL and NL and the rest are teams ones. I’ve just been grinding to get to 300 stars I haven’t touched it in a week. Need to finish that up this week or next and get Seaver and Babe.
