Has anyone had luck pitching with him? Maybe I am just using him wrong. He can’t seem to find the strike zone whenever I use him. Any tips to him or is he just not as good as his stats say?

His fastball darts in towards RHH. Away from LEFTIES! Its a great pitch! Problem with most pitchers is curves! Change ups suck.

He is great... if you are good at pitching.
Small sample size but am currently 5-1 with a 1.21 ERA and had 1 perfect game.
All games so far have been in the 600’s ranking wise -
I believe Seaver to be the best pitcher in the game.

He isnt the best pitcher! Lol. But he's solid! Some what fun to use! But like most pichers in mlb 20 inconsistent! Cause pitching is broken this year

Just follow his pitches and pitch to his strength. For me his fastball torpedos to the bottom of the zone, kind of like a sinker. You just have to watch the trajectory of his pitches like you should with all pitchers and aim accordingly. Your not going to locate the same pitch with every pitcher, might have to aim higher or more to the right for example
EDIT: oh by the way since I got him he is the first righty I go to now, he just pitches smooth. Kluber is next

So far he hasn’t been good for me.
Having success with Feller, Sale, and Walter Johnson.
Cheaper option that have been good for me are Wood and Hershiser too.

But he’s free though so he’s technically cheaper than Wood & Orel

Same for me. I can’t believe he was free & he’s been absolutely lights out for me. A 99 Starter that’s good a great pitch arsenal for no stubs is a steal. I’d say keep being patient with him, mix his stuff more & try & make people expand the strike zone even if it’s just a lil bit

Got to learn to use his pitches movement. His 4 seamer tails like 2 seamer with 4 seam velocity. Change up is a show pitch to get hitters off the hard stuff. And if you can learn how to place his curve it’s his best pitch. But the key is the fastball. Move it around the Strikezone and put em away with the hammer.
