Meh, knowing the Cardinals front office, we wouldn't have spent it on upgrades, we like signing extensions, but not free agents.

Yeah like dumb extensions on aging less productive vets like Carpenter, Molina, Mikolas, Miller. Lot of dead $$ on the team

Dodgers were paying Millions and Millions of dead money up til like 2 years ago. Everyone thought the Dodgers had the highest payroll but the majority of that money was paying players who were not playing anymore.
