Must have lefties

Ellsbury has a nice quick swing. Mantle is a switch hitter so you are more likely to face a righty thus making him a lefty
-
Well you could move your order around to help balance it by using the switch hitters. Something like....
Biggio
Trout
Babe
Mantle
Walker
Hornsby
Rollins
PoseyThen you at least only have 2 righties in your lineup back to back, and Trout has reverse splits so he basically doesn't count.
-
Hornsby to 2nd, Biggio to Catcher, pick up chipper for 3rd

Yeah i thought about that. Walker has been one of my best hitters so i want him up in the first inning always. If i played better with biggio I'd think about switching him up. Rollins switch hitting speed and decent power is my ideal leadoff. I think my 1-4 hitters are where i want them to be. The rest not so much. Anyone use Brett or 99 mathews?

Does chippers defense hurt him?

I would try this and then maybe go out and get Brock or Harper for LF of you don't get it going with Biggio.

3rd base isn’t a noticeable problem with fielding IMO. For me personally outfield and shortstop are the only positions that I need good fielding

If your top 4 must be Rollins, Walker, Mantle, Ruth.....
Didi and Cano are great options at 2nd.
Didi also plays 3rd decently, but not great. I'd put Chipper there before Didi If that's where you're going.
Eddie is a monster, but comes with a bit of a price tag.
Posada is a fantastic switch hitting bat. Defense is average. Better than Piazza in my books though.
Also, a CAP is a great option if you're really stuck. 40k in equipment if you don't have it and an hour of your time doing the moments and even only at an 82 he's essentially a carbon copy of that Rollins. 15 games later, the innings are done and hes an 89 making him one of if not the best option.

HRD Cano at 2B instead of Biggio
-
I'd pick up Brett, move Hornsby to 2nd, put Biggio at C. Have Posey on the bench for lefty starters and defense later and put 99 Jackie on you're bench for pinch running and swapping out with Hornsby later in games.
-
I agree with what others have said. I keep thinking they'll add a bunch of LHP, but so far, it hasn't happened. I don't see a reason to use many right handed bats until that changes.

In all honestly there isn’t many good LHPs for them to still add. Kershaw and Bumgarner are the only two I can come up with at the moments. Maybe a sig Vida Blue, but that’s about it

At third it isn't that much of an issue. I've been running Chipper since I got him in that inning program, and he's rarely - if ever - made fielding errors.
-
Stan Musial rakes for me but otherwise agree that Chipper & Cano are good options to try. Be patient with Biggio though as he's been a beast for me the past 2 weeks. Singles and doubles for days.
-
My top lefties:
FOTF Joey Gallo - #2 spot
POTM Cody Bellinger - #4 spot
POTM Didi Gregorius - # 6 or 7 spot -
I haven’t used Brett, but heard his bat is great. I love Chipper. I would move biggio to C, bench Posey. Hornsby to 2b and Chipper at 3rd
-
HRD Cano at 2nd. Right or lefty he mashes the ball. He is relatively cheap rn with all the packs that were in the conquest map.

98 Wade Boggs at 3rd. Great hitter with sneaky power and defense with a good arm.
Brett is almost identical but with more speed and power.
-
HRD Cano at 2B and Ellsbury maybe to replace Trout. Cano hits dingers left and right for me, and his D is pretty good. Ellsbury has one of my favorite swings in the game, and sneaky pop even against lefties. Plus the 96/96 speed/steals is great.
