Shohei Ohtani

Are we going to be able to use him as both a pitcher and hitter? Or he just going to play the field like last time? It’s fine either way but I’d like to be able to use him in the rotation as well as the batters lineup during the season. I was able to do that with Babe Ruth.

guy in the franchise/rtts stream said the 2way player rule is in the game as well as all the 2020 mlb rule changes.

I think they started to make that a possibility in ‘19 with Rick Ankiel’s And Zack Greinke’s SS cards. Also I’ve found that cards like Brendan McKay are nice little BR cards to have.

Ohtani didn't pitch at all in 2019, hence he was only a RF card.
I would assume that if he pitches in '20 he will get a SP card with better batting stats, similar to Ankiel and Greinke.

do not know how they will do it for DD, but franchise and rtts will have him as a 2way player. the angels got an exception for him cause of the injury so he'll be listed as 2way irl

Hopefully they’ve worked on the functionality of this. Would be cool to have Ohtani, Ankiel, and Ruth be capable of pitching and playing in the field (and vice versa)

I’m sure Ankiel’s defense was good enough to get the job done in the field in ‘19.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
