You think these 99 beach ball cards will go up when packs out of store?
-
Appreciate your help. I see the other "packs" cards did.
-
they will probably add 1 or 2 to the next inning program, then to future conquest and event rewards, so basically yes they will go up in value now or when they take them away from the store, then lower in value as the add free ones as rewards, similar to the Ducks packs
-
They will add an elite teir to the pack like they did w ducks, effectively tanking the value of the rare cards to greike and Boggs level

This is what I keep thinking will happen, for sure.

I strongly disagree. Those packs were released at a completely different time in the games life cycle. We are now at the place in which they release 99's. What cards could they possibly release to outdo Roberts/Ryan/Honrsby? 99 Jeter isn't walking through that door
-
I think the best time to sell the 99s will likely be Thursday or Friday before the 7th inning drops. I'm waiting to sell Robert, don't want to leave stubs on the table. I'm not a market expert though so who knows.
-
I don't see an elite tier coming as the Ducks topped at 97 leaving room for upgrades. These are all good 99s.

That's what I'm thinking.
Just looking at the cards themselves, it's pretty easy to tell that it would be hard to have a tier of cards that are clear-cut head and shoulders above Robert, Hornsby, and Nolan Ryan. If anything, I think they will add more cards to these packs but keep the tier structure the same.
-
Hard to invest in these cards imo. Too likely that these packs are in each map or program going forward.

Alomar, Kershaw, Chipper. A lot more players that will be better than the mid tier currently in the packs.

Just as they added a third tier to HRD, Prospects, etc? They won't, promise. Robert is the best 5 tool OF in the game right now, Hornsby is the best offensive 2b in the game right now, Nolan doesn't have the control and I don't love him, but he's a top 5 pitcher in the game.

That was my take too and people keep telling me I am wrong. I just don’t see how you have mid tier “rare” 99s than call other guys “elite” Tier 99s.

Robert is nowhere near as good as MVP trout or Mickey Mantle.

I disagree completely. But if you locked in all those stubs, I can completely understand the need to justify that decision.
Trout: 90 speed 94 fielding, 89 arm, 90 acc, 93 reaction in CF
Mantle: 92 speed 87 fielding 94 arm 91 acc 99 reaction
Robert: 97 speed 97 fielding 96 arm 89 acc 94 reaction and maintains diamond fielding in all three OF spots.
And just for fun:
Pache: 92 speed, 99 fielding, 97 arm, 94 acc, 99 reaction
Pache and Robert are the only cards in the game that keep diamond fielding in all three OF spots.
Hitting is too subjective, as everyone hits differently with cards, and defense is more valuable than offense in the OF (Just ask Cbrev if you think I'm crazy).

How does any argument for the best card in the game ignore offensive attributes as subjective? Cbrev rated Trout, Mantle and Walker ahead of Robert, right?

he put them all in Tier 1A, so no he didn't rate them above others.
If you can't hit well with 87/94 RHP 101/108 LHP the issue isn't the card.
At the same time Robert hits LHP better than Trout (97/112).
So are those 4 points contact what make a card better or worse? Does Trouts +4 power matter with a perfect/perfect? Or does Defense not matter?
Timing window is a huge part of using cards in this game, which is directly impacted by swing speed. That is user dependent (hence the reason some rake with cards while others don't)

He does, he separates the big 3 by a few lines and then adds the other 1A options. Al Kaline is a 1A option and so are like 7-10 others. One of the reasons he does it that way is lineup flexibility. You may need a left handed outfielder or your lineup may need a right handed option. Also, Trout and Mantle are the two toughest cards to obtain so there has to be other 1A type options available.
As far as defense goes, how many more runs is Robert going to save you over Walker, Trout or Mantle?

So you base that off of a few attribute points in Fielding. Did you take into account prestige trout or mantle? Trout and mantle both blow Robert out of the water in hitting. They don't even compare. The amount of stubs locked in for trout has absolutely nothing to do with it. I actually got trout and made a million stubs. No clue what a cbrev is but the fact that you compare pache to trout and mantle makes me belly laugh. Good day sir.

Your such a snarky commenter, in every thread you just have this condescending tone. Should probably work on that.
There are a ton of guys who would be elite compared to the cards in the pack, those cards all have major weaknesses. Alomar compared to Hornsby for example
