Plays such a big factor in how your game plays it’s ridiculous!! If I’m gettin called late on pitches I know I’m not in the first inning I just quit out. It’s not worth 9 innings of [censored].. sad this is reality
-
Worst is that the opponent could have decent internet the servers could be bad for that game. Or could of matched you with someone on the other side of the country. Which has happened.
-
First year playing DD but I'm been wondering how some games I'm early on 99mph fastballs and some games its a blur. Never gave thought to (a) the other person's connection and (b) the other person's location. Interesting.
-
Im an awful player but ai would to agree. Some games the ball looks like I am trying to hit a fly. Others, like its a beachball. So weirdd
-
It would be so nice if someone affiliated with the company would make some sort of comment on how connection quality can impact gameplay. And if there are any plans to do anything about it in future versions of the game.

This isn't a new issue with online video games, it's been around in every game, since the start of online video games.
Go to the COD forums and watch people complain about the lag, they shot first, kill cam showed something different, blah blah blah.
It's part of online games, everywhere. Know that going in, and have fun. Or don't.

This is very true. Just sucks it has to be the pitch speed that lags. Lol among other things yes.

Yeah I don’t give a F about my record. I’m not playing for 45 minutes with a shitty connection all that’s going to do is waste my time and [censored] me off.
-
I've played over 200 ranked games...
Two weeks ago, I had an opponent with a 19-3 record. I'm like, okay... Let's go.
The game took an 1:15 because the connection was so slow, and he mercied me in the 8th. The connection was so bad... I had to play it out just to prove it myself.
I'm sure this guy is now 30-3, only because MAYBE he got another 10 games in over 2 weeks with gerbil internet.
The game immediately afterwards was smooth as silk.
There is so much truth to this, I'm surprised it's not brought up more.

I can't even get my mobile hot spot bad. My mobile hot spot ping in PUBG was still better than all my squad mates. It has been a problem for a while but worse this year with the pandemic.
No, it doesn't have to be like this. There is only so much you can do in game like COD because there are more people being 6 v 6 or whatever. Peer to peer with only two players could and should be much smoother. I don't know all the details. I do know it is a huge issue.
-
You can get bad ping purposely by using cat 5 cables with modern equipment. Cat 5 is maxed at 100 Mbps. Connect 21 devices to a WiFi router and stick a cat 5 between the router and modem, and you'll drag your Opponents down.
