Andres Galaraga????
Bro, look at my post on Page 1.
I linked the YouTube video of Galaraga's moonshot off of Kevin Brown.
I have never seen a baseball hit further.That was in Joe Robbie Stadium, "Old Miami" in the game. He came 10 rows from hitting the ball out of the stadium.
Amazing power by the Big Cat. -

It's Nelson Cruz, gotta be. Only other big right handed hitter with a stance like that I can think of is CJ Cron.
Andres Galaraga had an open stance, but I don't think SDS has his rights.
That dude used to mash, ask Kevin Brown.
I was at that game in Miami back in 97.Check out what real power looks like;
As many times as I have watched this, I never realized it was off Kevin Brown until now. He was a good arm!
Big Cat is one of my all time favorites. Wish it was him, but I’m afraid it won’t be.
I also wonder what type of career numbers the guy would have put up had he not battled cancer and injuries so often.... not to mention the 94 strike. 399 career home runs could have easily been 500+ if he had stayed healthy.

The way the moments were with Phillips, I would imagine these Cruz moments will all involve base hits and stolen bases.

The sound that ball made was something I will never forget.
I was in the upper deck on the 3rd base side. The moment he hit the ball, I was on my feet screaming "Oh, My God" before anyone else in my section even realized what had just happened. Then everyone freaked out.
I swear the ball flew parrallel to me in the upper deck. The only other player I have heard the same sound off the bat from was Mark McGwire hitting two upper deck bombs in 97 as well (the year before the chase).Amazing power.

Amazing power by the Big Cat.Hey Canes....I saw Willie Stargell hit one in the parking lot over the right field pavillion at Dodger Stadium in 1973 off of Andy Messersmith......THAT was a bomb.

Wow, to hit a ball that far in Chavez Ravine must have been a sight. Balls generally never travelled far there. And Messersmith was a bad dude on the mound.
