Story would be great but seriously can we get a Mookie Betts mvp card with 99 fielding 99 arm and 80+ speed? He’s been criminally disrespected these last 2 years with his attributes
99 fielding and 99 arm, yeah ok. Mid 70's-80 power. Easy pass. Maybe would be usable the first month of the game.
Don’t be a hater. He’s been neck and neck with trout since 2016. And as a big fan who’s watched him over the years he’s the best RF in the game and it’s time they actually reward him for it
No one is on Trout's level. He's in his own category. As a fellow Sox fan, it's just the truth. I love Mookie, but c'mon man.
That being said, if they were to release a Sox Mookie card, I'd need it just for the emotional health of not having him on the team in real life. What a mess it turned out to be. Ugh!

Where do get the 70-80 power rationale? He led the league in slugging.
Once in 2018. He's not a power hitter.
If it's based on his MVP season, that's 2018. Completely accurate.
Actually yes that would make sense if its based off his mvp year. I stand corrected. I was thinking of a sig card for entire career. Makes sense now. 90-97 power then. No way over 100.
Comparing to other awards cards:
Donaldson has over 100 power against both and he slugged .568 that year.
Papi has over 100 vs both and he slugged .604 that season.
Betts slugged .640 in 2018. .610 vs RHP, .736 vs LHP.Ok good now compare homeruns, which directly relate to power.
I dont think HRs is how they figure power. Ty Cobb hit 4 HRs in 1908, his breakout card. That card has 55/60 power.
Victorino had 10 HRs in 2009, his power is 56/50.

You do realize that four home runs in 1908 wasn't bad. That was what was known as the dead ball era. Research it. On 13 occasions between 1900 and 1920, the league leader in home runs had fewer than 10 home runs for the season. Parks were bigger, balls were used way more often as opposed to being replaced every few pitches like today. Also, pitchers used to dirty up the ball with different kinds of gobbledygook which would weigh the ball down. If you don't think power is related to home runs, then what do you think? I think power directly relates to home runs in this game. This game is almost home run or nothing and power hitters are the meta.
56/50 power is low in relation to 125 being the ceiling. -

The only OF yet to be released that is cracking most lineups is Griffey.
I’m just waiting for a bunch off pitchers at this point.
Griffey and mays, agreed.
I thought Griffey, Mantle, and Mays would be my endgame OF when the year started. Mays lost his spot to Trout though.
This is why I'm very hesitant to put 350-400K of stubs into the HRD collection. 98 HRD Griffey isn't the best one we will get it sounds like. If I keep saving my Stubs (455,000) once I hit 300 stars tomorrow) I will be able to buy 99 Griffey when he does come out.

Betts live card has plenty of power middle in. Very quick bat. Great D and can play 2B too. Same level card as Trout and Yelich in many ways.

Betts card does not compare to trout's card and I don't know how yelich could compare because his defense is absolutely atrocious. Yelich is a bench bat.

No one ever suggested that he have 100+ power. He’ll have reverse splits probably woth 100+ contact and mid 80s low 90s power at best. The post was more in regards to the fielding and arm and especially speed rating which they haven’t given him the respect he’s earned
If he gets an mvp card yes it would be good but not great and wouldn't make most lineups unless you are bug fan of his
Which I am so I’m hoping he can be useful. I was never trying to argue he’d be an endgame OF or better than any of the elite OF options. But this card if he does get one should be amazing

To each there own with what cards they like
LS RH players I hit better with than Trout
Acuna My favorite LS swing

JD MartinezThe 96 jd is awesome if you don't have him. Sketchy in the field but really good if you put up a lot of runs or he could be a bench bat
