Interesting stats by MLB Network. 36.4% of the time in the 2020 season has resulted in one of three plays (listed in the title), which they call the “Three True Outcome Percentage.”
It was at 29.2% in 2011.
I was curious to know if strikeouts were coming at a more frequent rate bc of the late start to the season.
But this applies to those who complain that it’s hard to score in the game by getting base hits... maybe The Show is playing almost exactly the way baseball is being played today?
It’s crazy how fast the game changes in 10 years.
