Can't sell a card?

I'm pretty sure I've seen others mention this in here but for some reason I'm unable to sell Dustin May. He isn't on my "squad", as I removed him yesterday to give Maddux a try. Now when I go to put in a sell order it tells me that this item is currently in use and that I must unequip, or unsquad it. I've tried selling him on here as well as from my PS4. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Events? Or did you accidentally lock him in

Events, BR, alternate squad....... go to your main squad and hit the r1 button. I think you could have three or four different squads.

He’s in your event lineup guaranteed

Thanks for the quick replies. I checked and I didn't accidentally lock him in, and I only have one squad created so I know that's not it either. He does have the event label on his card but I've never played events or anything so I don't know how he would end up on a squad of mine there?

It auto generates one for you even if you have never played events in your life

Alright, thank you. I would assume I could just go in to the events screen and find my roster and remove him then?

Yup, that was it. He was on my squad in events. I removed him so I should be able to sell now. Thanks guys, appreciate the help!
