I'm not buying 20. I would rather flush $100 down the toilet. Last 2 games have been flat out terrible. It will not get any better. They will never get with the times and put an accurate ping indicator which almost every game has these days. Matching people with like ping gives the best playing experience for both sides. They haven't grasped that concept yet. Little Billy code will still be in effect. There is a reason they are going to Xbox. They will put a different spin on it but the reality is they have screwed up the last 2 and fear sales will be way down. Going over to Xbox makes up for it.

I'm not sure SONY had a say in the matter. That was an MLB decision from what I've read/heard.

For every MLBTS quitter, I'm sure there are 10 more that buy the game.

But to answer the question at hand, I don't do digital or pre-order for the current games flashy card. I always reserve a hard copy of the MVP version at GameStop and pick it up at the "midnight" release.

Kind of strange how the last 2 shows have been less than stellar and now they decide they want to cross platform after never doing it before.

That is fine. I haven't enjoyed the last 2 piles of [censored]. I am sure they can find 10 Little Billy's to take my spot. My life will be fine not playing another poorly made The Show.

Licensing rights and even the games themselves are made according to the professional entity they represent (MLB). Hence the reason players aren't in the player pool until they become members of the MLBPA (you know the professional entity). They are usually on a contract for a certain amount of years. They must be reviewed and renewed by MLB. There has been a recent rumor that XBOX and EA had been interested in the baseball genre again (MVP series, remember that?). To combat this, I believe SONY and MLB "beat them to the punch" by striking this "multi-platform" deal which keeps MLBTS as the "best selling" MLB game and keeps it "in house" under a SONY label.

Anyways, I know by now that no one will sway your POV or opinion (not something I'm trying to do by the way-you do you) so I'll leave it at this.

My life will be fine enjoying yet another installment of MLBTS in about a month.

Remember, if you feel this strongly, please refrain from logging onto MLBTS20 forums and spouting your negativity in your usual pontificating manner.

Thank you, and may the PING be with you!

Honestly, I could care less how they came up with that plan. Just find it funny.

Well, I can't talk about ping and Little Billy code if I am not playing the game.

As far as ping, if you don't think ping has a huge effect in online gaming, then I don't know what to tell you. That would put you at the same intelligence of that guy on here that thinks playing on google fiber and satellite out in the middle of Timbuktu has no bearing on the game.
