LS collection or Team Affinity grind
-
Hi All,
I'm at a point where I have gotten a nice bank of stubs and am trying to decide what I should do at this point. Do I complete the LS collection, work on completing the Team Affinity's so that I am prepared for stage 4, or use the stubs to rent players from the market to complete my team (This is what I have been doing)
I've got 325K in stubs, plus Sig Series Rivera (could get 90K), and LS Trout (could get 200K)
My locked in players are:
SP - 99 Kluber, 99 Paxton, 95 Lodolo, 93 Graterol, and 92 Schmidt
RP - 95 Diaz, and 87 NerisC - Grastrol and Sanchez
1B - Bellinger
2B - Didi
SS - Correa
3B - Gorman
OF - Trout, 93 Laureano, Wagner, Cargo, DJ LeMaI dont have the time to put into the game to grind out the team affinities, so I would more than likely just be purchasing players for the exchanges.
What do you think the best play is? I am also at Bronze 92ish, so should be able to pick up a 99 this week, have been thinking that I will take Posey, but please let me know your thoughts on this as well.
Thanks
Chedda

Buying players for exchanges right now is not your best bet. Players are inflated.
As for the LS Collection: Do you want Mantle? If yes; then go that route. If no, then wait on Silvers to drop a little and do the TA Exchanges.

Actually, im going to tweak this reply.
LS Trout: Keep him EVEN if you dont go for Mantle.
LS Collection: I completed it will help from investing in a TON of Silvers, prior to the drop of Stage 3, and in the 4th Inning Bosses. But since then, I feel as if I dont have anything of value needed to grind.
So here is what I would do if I was in your boat.
Play the Event and use MLB based teams (players from the same team). Now you'll have to use some Silvers and Bronzes; but you'll play with cards you don't normally use and will probably lose a majority of your games; but you're grinding TA Innings and those 7pts (5 offline/2 online) will add up FAST)!
I would also sit on your stubs until the Silvers drop. There are a few posts on here with ideal target prices for what you should spend on 78s, 77s, and 76s, towards each exchange. I was spending about 15-17K for every 5 exchanges.
This will also allow you to catch up on Team Affinities and bank some packs and stubs that could help towards the LS Collection later on down the road.

I would go LS. Finishing those gives you large boosts of XP and Stubs as well, not to mention some very usable cards.
I found myself forcing it and buying out the remainder of my LS just after the 4th of July when the prices were down. When the dust settled, I didnt really have too many fewer stubs than I started with

You will get some stubs back for LS collection. And you will get packs for TA exchange. Really it comes down to what you need towards the LS collection?

I would need the majority of players to complete the LS. The only top player i have is Trout.

Well, trout isthe biggest chunk, not sure where high Diamonds are right now, but low Diamonds are at QS prices practically. So its not insanely high priced. Obviously TA are going to yield more usable players, but Mantle is end game and better than all TA cards i did LS first, i have quite a big bank roll right now to do exchanges. I say do LS you get stubs and XP, stubs help you stay afloat, the xp will give you more rewards, then do TA.

@CheddaAllDay
you're on the right track for LS collection bro.. since you have Lodolo, Gorman, Clarke, Brusdar TA2 already that means you could easily get Eric Davis, Lou Brock, Orel, Don TA3 flip them for ~150k - 200K stubs on marketbest bet is finding a couple more TA3 cards to flip & collections could be complete very soon
Go Posey, Reggie or Sandberg
