Tournament thoughts?

I thought these tournaments were a pretty cool idea but something seems, for lack of a better term, lame about them. Only 550 or so players today, and there hasn't been many(compared to what I expected) throughout all of them. What are these tournaments missing? and why don't more people play in them?

- They are missing a good report system, way too many people can claim their opponent didn't match up with them or they had an illegal lineup and then get a free win because the tourney people don't really check.
- They lack an understanding of MLB The Show itself and how it works, some issues were fixed in the second Tourney, but it's still an problem.
- When there is money involved, people are scummy. This kind of goes back to the #1 point, but people will do anything for a free win. IMO if you get caught lying about a win/your opponent, you should be banned from future tourneys, that would (mostly) fix things.

They're laughably terrible. I won't be participating in any of them

ESL is terrible my guy.

agree 100%. I haven't had the best experiences either so far. I'm drawn to them, just because the competition factor is fun but I wish they could just get something right. Maybe if ESL wasn't the head of it all it'd be better because the idea of tournaments sound fun to me.

I wonder if SDS is capable of doing their own tournament I also question how that would go as well though..

Esl needs to be on legend and 9 innings for the final 128 for me to consider it competitive. I'd try to play it then.

Yup, the 3 innings thing is just ridiculous. Idk how id do on legend but it'd probably leave less room for fluke too.

Honestly the main reason is because it is January. I for one have no desire to play baseball right now. If they do these in the summer they will have a much higher turnout. Even the last one they did in fall had over twice the amount of players. But the overall interest in baseball is gonna be higher in Spring and Summer than in Fall and Winter.
