How Do You Pitch on All-Star?
-
I generally throw strikes and work the corners and zones. I favor control and finesse over wild flame throwers. It works very well in HoF. On All-Star I am getting crushed...this season more than seasons past. I can't freaking get out of here!
Anyway, do ai need to buy some pitchers that just play better in AS? Do I need to just start cheering and throw high sinkers? I can't seem to figure it out. There has to be some way where pitching matters a bit on All Star?
Is this all a lost cause and just cross my fingers and hope I out slug my opponent instead? Throw all gameplanning around pitching out the window?

Close your eyes and pray on AS

My strategy on AS is avoid pitching in the strike zone until I absolutely have to

Yeah, it is such bs.
SDS, next time you slober over having 3 new ace legends (Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz), make sure pitching matters in your game. Thanks

Very poorly

Accuracy is even worse on HoF, it’s just harder for people to hit those mistakes. In the event Rivera was missing by feet on the slightest misses with analog (good timing and in the circle, but not dead center).

Yeah, it's tough. I've only broken into the HOF RS play for about 3 or 4 games this year (please, SDS, lower the threshold for HOF play to 600 at Wild Card), so have a little experience getting slapped around. Just now getting my ERA to creep down toward 4.00 after a couple hundred games.
I liked to work corners, low, and dip below the strike zone as a rule, but as soon as guys get hip to that they likely started setting their PCIs there and I'd start getting blasted after a few innings. Only thing that I've found to work (and by work, I mean less than 4-5 runs a game) is to generously mix the high corners in enough so that that opponents need to flit that PCI low and high, from one corner to the next, without being able to sit comfortably in one quadrant.
Of course, some guys are are so good that you just get smashed, anyway, but that's kept me about 20 games over .500 for a while, and while not good and certainly not WS bound, that's enough to keep things fun for me.

Chuck and pray that it doesn't magically end up in the middle of the plate. Lol. Honestly. I just pitch to contact and pray it finds a fielders glove

The best way to pitch on all-star is to hit and score more than your opponent.

Most people aren’t good who are low enough to play all star I’m not a good hitter but I have a 3.00 era on all
