What card would make you want to do a Honus type collection this year?

Babe would [censored] me off, hiding him behind a paywall. Wagner makes the most sense. Clemens/Bonds would be the biggest incentive for me.

I’ve been thinking about this. I have a lot of collection cards saved but not locked in because I’ve decided there’s a good chance I skip it. It would have to be someone really good. Of the players we know they have, im not sure who would really hit that for me? Griffey, Babe, Mays, Gehrig and Ted are the “big guys” that I’m still waiting for and not sure if any of those would do it. Griffey would be the closest. Mays was the LS collection last year, so can’t see it being him. The 99 Trout maybe?
If it’s a new legend, that’s more something I might do simply so I can play with that guy. But now sure who would do it? Hank? Clemente? Unit or Pedro? Those might make me lock in. Jeter wouldn’t and I don’t know who else it could be.
What if, hear me out, that was just a one-time thing for SDS. It’s very possible. They got Honus’ rights and did it that way with the excitement and legendary status of the Honus tobacco card. I think it’s possible we’re all speculating for no reason. I know I wouldn’t do it if it’s Honus again unless it was later in the cycle and I had nothing left to spend on.

Either Clemente, Koufax or Hank Aaron would be awesome. I've been dying to see Sandy Koufax in this game but watch it be Jeter

For me personally, unless the player is a new legend, it would be difficult to get excited. I'd like to see the collection (provided they have one), that is a tiered approach with other players to collect along the way to a final reward. There are a lot of more obscure old school names that would be deserving stat wise, however names that transcend to the newer generation would be guys like DiMaggio, Aaron, Koufax and Clemente. Guys from the 80s, 90s and 00s, probably Pedro/Randy Johnson and Arod, Jeter, Mauer. Finally you got the guys with their warts, Clemens, Bonds, Manny and many other guys of the 90s/00s who have a darker cloud over their names.

I haven't sold many cards I've pulled solely for this possible collection so I'm hoping it's a quality choice. I'm also just hoping they have something similar to last year where this is something we even get the option to do.

I just wish we knew one was coming or not. I know it would tank some prices if one isn't coming, but I have so man stubs sunk in cards (not locked in) that I don't use, simply because I'm holding on for a possible collection. If I had a wish, I almost wish one wasn't coming.
