Should I Avoid Ranked Until Next Season
-
My record this ranked season is ruined at 1-3 should, I quit this season and wait until the next?

No, it just started, so everyone is lower than they should be, give it a few days.

.... it’s been a day

Record means absolutely nothing in the current RS system. You can lose 50 in a row, then climb to WS if you get on a win streak.

I don’t follow what you are saying? Records don’t reset, just ranking...you can lose 10 in a row than win 15 and still have a good ranking ️
-
Why does record matter when you have games decided on RNG?
Not every game is, but you can’t really take every loss to heart when there’s not much you can do about it at times.
-
Depends on how important your record is to you I guess.
I personally don't care about my record at all.
-
You dont think you can come back from a 1-3 record? Lol not sure where to start...
-
Yeah, starting a new season is tough.. as ppl say - high ranked ppl drop down, and on All-Star nothing matters... People easily run into HR's.

How about just have fun?

I have been avoiding ranked all year. Played less then 40 games 21-17. I have just decided to play no matter what record ends up being. It is time to stop worrying about the record and just have fun.
-
I’m 6-4 this season and 377-296 this year. Not even vaguely concerned about any of it.

More power to you if you enjoy RS
I'm 61-17 and I rather play events and showdown.

I think a lot of people approach this entire game wrong. It's a baseball game. Baseball games are 9 inning games against the other teams best players. Baseball is not a 3 inning game with quick counts against a minor league bull pen arm.
Some of you are more concerned about a record than you are playing and enjoying a game you spent a ton of money on. Record means nothing, XP level means nothing, having fun means everything.
If playing a 9 inning baseball game isn't fun for you, why buy a baseball game?

I usually play around 1500-2000 RS games each year. I’m way behind my usual pace and it’s precisely because I don’t like the way RS plays this year. It was atrocious early on and is only a little better now. I don’t like 3 inning games and I don’t like vs CPU stuff, so I basically only buy the game for RS mode within DD. Safe to say it’s been a pretty down year for MLB The Show, in my opinion.

This. I have played with more cards in RS than I ever have. I have Brett at first. Not because he is the best but because he is my favorite player of all time and I also wanted to play with Killebrew. I am also using meter pitching which I am not great with. I have no clue where my pitches are going even with good release. You simply can't be competitive with the connection issues in this game. Trying to make it fun by using different cards and cards that I like. When 99 Rickey comes out, he will be my left fielder regardless of how he performs as he was my 2nd favorite player of all time.

I enjoy shorter, quicker games. Having to cut out 45 minutes to an hour at a time of straight play just isn't as enjoyable as shorter games.
You said it best, having fun means everything. Why should it matter how people have the most fun?

i care about my own record - each year i try to hit 164 games and "pretend" its a real baseball year
im at 47 games so far in the season bit slow but it does matter for some ppl

RS sucks bad, the game plays way better in Events.
