Did they tone down the perfect hit sound

Just moved PS4 to my PC room and hadn't played in months till this weekend, but noticed that it didn't sound as different as normal hits on the smaller speakers....wondering if I need to tune my audio settings or this was something theyd done over the past few weeks

I did not notice a difference
