This game might not be for me

I love baseball. I’ve really enjoyed having all this video game baseball content, especially during outbreak hibernation.

That said, I’ve started losing interest a bit and playing other games. I jumped on today and found tons of new content, but I am wondering if hitting has been tweaked again and find the pitching is still wonky.

I got going on stage 3 for the Mariners and Dodgers, taking care of the Felix perfect game moment in three tries.

Next, five tries for the Griffey jr one to hit a bloop and a blast. Out of 93 pitches over the five games, 33 were in the zone, 18 were borderline, and 44 were entirely out of the zone.

It comes to about 34% strikes. If you count the borderline pitches as strikes (at least some part of the ball was touching the zone) it comes to 54%.

Now, maybe that’s not too far off the MLB average. Even if I square up all of those, there’s going to be some that fall for hits and most not.

My point is, this may well be really exciting and fun for some of you guys but for the average dude like myself, especially as a Seattle fan that watched this moment in real life, it just wasn’t much fun, and that’s ok.

The game can’t be everything for everyone.

It definitely seems like the pitchers throw more balls during moments. Especially if you need 3 hits or something like that.
I almost always get hit by a pitch in at least 1 AB

Don't try the Williams moment, from ARI. you face Tanaka on AS,2 H 1 xbh, and he throws nothing but sliders and splitters, 35%strikes would be a miracle, I think he was closer to 10%

Yeah, that’s rough. I can understand people switching to directional in cases like that. Turn off your brain and roll the dice until your number comes up...

Ever since they created the moments in MLB, they have played horribly. They are nothing but pure frustration. There was a moment in the first set for stage 1 for the Blue Jays. Hit 2 homeruns with Vlad. I can't even count how many times I was robbed of homeruns by the outfielders. Not to mention all the not even close pitches that you can't do anything with.

I came up with about the same total for balls in all the moments I have played lately, about 38% strikes. When I go into the games vs the CPU on Veteran, the strike totals are closer to 59%. They have done such a pathetic job on these moments. They don't play the same as other game mode at all. Pitchers are always trying to get you to chase, pitch after pitch. So many times I strike out because I'm forced to swing at garbage when there is 3 balls already and they won't throw it close to the zone. Hit by pitches a lot in moments. I've been hit once in a Vet game vs the CPU.

It's shameful that they just do this nonsense to make it frustrating. I just don't get it. I don't want something for nothing, that's certainly not what I am saying but they need game modes to play the same all the time. If it's Vet then it should be just that.

Pure gold.....I dont switch to directional but I turn off emotions and zone out. It's so mind numbing sometimes.. then you finally complete it and your like wow...only took 30 mins lol
