Why is everybody saying the Brett card is so good? Stats don’t look that amazing, Schmidt’s look better. Yet everybody is talking about how this card is the best of all the TA3. Can somebody please explain to me what makes this card that much better than the rest? Thank you

He’s just been a “meta” player in the past so everyone wants to hop on the train.

But what makes him meta? Does he have the smoothest swing in the game or something?

He was one of my top 3 or 4 cards last year. Did you use his SS in 19? He rips in ways Larkin could never dream of ripping.

Attributes don’t always tell the full story. Those numbers are just like a woman’s age: as long as they’re higher than 18, they don’t make that much of a difference. But power numbers higher than 30 don’t make me want to vomit so maybe that’s not a great analogy.

One of.. yes.. it's smooth like you'd expect a Brett card to be.

I know he had a great card in 17 and has a good swing. Arguably the best 3B all year in 17. But kind of like Andre Dawson.. they are very good cards but not as amazing as when attributes were capped at 99.

Brett was amazing last year. I wouldn’t expect anything less this year. His attributes this year are better than last years

Well then, I guess Shef is about to be pushed out the lineup since I’m about to have Walker in RF...which really sucks because that 99 Shef took me a long time to get and a lot of stubs to complete the collection

    Shef belongs in the kitchen.

Brett is the 2nd best 3B behind Schmidt, and actually IRL they did get compared to each other constantly, and did directly compete the one time,in the 1980 WS both were their leagues mvp.
Brett won batting titles, Schmidt won hr titles.

So is Schmidt a better card than Brett? I’m at work but I have both Royals and Phillies TA2 completed already. Which player is better in game?

Schmidt was the much better player though because he was one of the greatest defensive 3B's.

Dunno yet.in 18 Schmidt was my best hitter,I had 3 100 hr guys Schmidt, Griffey and Snider,Schmidt had the fewest ab/hr.
Brett was good - about 75 pts higher avg but half the hrs of Schmidt.
In 2019 Brett was a machine ,easily one of my top hitters, the lower rates Schmidt I struggled with and did not get to use the top one much.

This year - I rake with both the gold Brett and the collect reward Schmidt, am gonna have both and periodically rotate them into the lineup.

To answer your question - if you want many hr and platinum defense- Schmidt
Brett will give you good defense very high avg and gappers.

That card is bench bat at best at this stage of the season. I sat biggio for the first tine ever today and i had him within a month of release. He is my backup catcher, speed guy, utility slugger. Love that card. Sheffield is hit or miss for me. I feel like a lot of his squared up hits that should leave the park just die down ot have this backspin.

I feel ya on that man. When it comes off his bat it sure seems like it’s gonna be a bomb and it just dies on the track. I have the 99 Posey reward card but I still use Biggio as my catcher. Any particular reason why you have benched Biggio and who did you bench him for?

First Game with Schmidt 2-4 2 bombs. Swing is smooth and when he connects you already know.

I have prestige Posey as my catcher only because he demolishes Lefty's and he is way better behind the plate. I actually hit pretty well versus righties also. If he ends up sucking I will put biggio back but I had biggio in left field the last couple weeks because I couldn't take him out of my lineup and wanted to make space for him. Now that I have George Brett I rotate Didi and correa at 2nd. Those lightning cards I do really well with. biggio is very streaky. He can go two games without a hit but then go 3 for 4 or 4 for 4 the next game it is weird

So Posey 99 is a good pick? I wont get Biggio so I am at Gold 1 now and have the free reward. Debating between Reggie and Posey. Currently using 91 Pudge.
