Just got Smoltz and took a no hitter into the 9th, struck out Biggio then hung a slider to Trout for a grounder through the shift. 136 pitches, 15 Ks, 4 BB. Got me to 863 though the highest I’ve been all year!
Hurts a little that with no shift it would’ve been a routine grounder to short, but so close still.

I'm in the 600's but that SMOLTZ card seems to be the real deal . I just had a complete game 1-hitter with 10 KS with him.

His mix of pitches seems really tough to pick up, and then of course his per 9s are great.
