- They aren’t.
- Why not? People seem to like the prestige gimmick, even though I’d argue the moonshot event has ruined what these cards were supposed to signify,
- It’s essentially SDS offering a buy it now option to players. The majority won’t bother or will use stubs they earn so they won’t notice or will praise SDS, but it is there for that group that is impulsive and impatient and will buy stubs to purchase them immediately...which brings up back to number 2. Because they’ll want them immediately to use in the Moonshot and begin trying to prestige them.
- They are....imo.
- Prestige just leads to more boosting and the like.
- Why now? Why not have this the model the whole time? Why not make live series and all other collection rewards sellable? This makes no sense to me.

It makes a ton of sense to me.
Grinding out 30 TA's all the way to stage 3 is a time commitment I'd assume not to many have.
So giving those people an alternate way to obtain the players make sense. -

So giving those people an alternate way to obtain the players make sense. Then why now? Why wait until some of us made the grind and spent the stubs to basically give them away for peanuts? Why not make collection rewards sellable? 99 Mantle, 99 Shef. I'm sure some don't want that grind either. Let's give everyone a Trout while we're at it.

I just fully explained why now.
If they originally had TA3 non-sellable and then later changed it to sellable, people would be up in arms because they would have locked in a bunch of ta3 cards they grinded for assuming they wouldn't be sellable
Collection rewards are very different from TA, it doesn't take weeks of grinding to catch up, so it's silly to equate the two.
This gives people who does not have the time to grind all of TA to obtain some of these cards, it makes sense.

You didn't fully explain anything. If you aren't willing to put the time in then you don't deserve these cards. If you have limited time then be selective in who you go for. This nothing more than giving everyone a participation trophy.
I'm not saying make them all sellable now obviously, I'm saying if they are making the rewards sellable now then why haven't they from the very beginning? Time constraint now would be time constraint then.

LOL, they don't "deserve" the cards if they physically don't have the time to put them in?
That is a bold take and one I vehemently disagree with.

Nobody is entitled to a Trout. You have to get a lucky pull or save up and buy him, you know, putting in the work. Same should apply here.
But agree to disagree I guess.

See, but using that Trout example,
He is purchasable on the market, so using him as an example doensn't work.Someone doesn't have to get a lucky pull or save up, they can just buy stubs and buy him, just like the TA3 cards.
Do they then not "deserve" him then in your eyes?
If anything that example supports my view.

Principle is still there though
Do people that buy stubs and then buy Trout not "deserve" him? Should SDS not make him sellable to make sure only those who are worthy get him?

A lot don't want to spend the time to buy every single common, bronze, silver, gold, and diamond card in the live series so why not make those rewards sellable for the lazy crowd?

See but these aren't good comparisons. The work it takes to buy 40 cards versus grinding three layers of affinity is so far off it's laughable, you are grasping at straws.

You sound like a whiny child. If people don't have the time to grind everything let them buy it. Its not like they are selling for 1000 stubs. I'm grinding everything out but I don't get mad at the people that just buy stuff. Having high end cards doesn't magically fix terrible plate discipline.
-
It's nobodys fault but their own if they wait until now to start grinding the TAs. No way do they deserve a quick path to the end prize.

You're ignoring the main point here. Alot of those people physically don't have the time to grind all 30 TA.
Your acting like all these people are just lazy bums. It's a really bad look for you tbh

So you're saying you take average johnny with an all silver team and then give him all 97s he game won't improve? Lmao! ok then.
An you think it's whiny to point out the flaw in this system? Wow, ok.

or you know, maybe they have jobs, families or other real lofe things to do. Not everyone has enough time to put into games to grind everything. Is the only reason you play the game tonpound your chest and say 'I'm the best when you grind everything out? Most people play for fun and entertainment.

yes the contact and power will give them a better chance of getting hits but if you seing at a curveball in the dirt everytime with silvers you're gonna do the same thing with the diamonds. If you dont understand that you are beyond help

You may want to play this game for fun and entertainment but alas this game doesn't always allow for that.
