If they are really revealing Thome and Delgado it would make sense to reveal DH at the same time. Several high powered bats with bad defense released recently (Papi, Killebrew, etc)
It wont be DH that would require a game update to be applied which I dont see happening today at least.
Its will be around TA and how to aquire point and likely a change to the TA stage 3 missions.
Cool, looks like you have it all figured out. No need to discuss any further folks

My 3 guesses.
-Tasty collection reward for all 60 FOTF
-They're redoing the entire structure for the programs points,(exchanges will stay)
-Double MTO points (a man can dream) -

-Double MTO points (a man can dream)I agree. I don’t think they will mess with exchanges at all. Double MTO points or 10 instead of 5 points for innings makes much more sense to me
-
Could the twist be tied to TA now having a collect reward for each division or each league? Collect all of the NL West and get player X or collect all of the AL and get player Y.

Watch it be exchanges are only for the team you are going for and their rival. That would upset some folks.
That’s not possible though because baseball teams don’t have just one rival. I mean you have the obvious Yankees/ Red Sox and Cardinals/Cubs but for example I don’t think the tigers or tigers fans hate any one AL Central team more than another
When you do the exchanges currently, it's for division and 1 inter conference rival. I'm merely posing that it is now for the team you are exchanging for, and its interconference rival. Example you can only exchange Yankees and Mets for the Mets (or Yankees).
I think they will keep exchanges as they cause some to buy stubs, but change it to make them spend more stubs somehow.
-
Based on the last stream, they said they are giving an extra voucher in stage 1 showdowns and adding new TA moments for each team. So it sounds like they’re doing things to help us move forward on the TA path. I don’t see them making any change to exchanges unless it’s beneficial to us, like requiring 25K points instead of 50k per exchange.

As much hate as SDS gets, they wouldn’t claim for a surprise/twist to be coming and then make it worse for the players. I know everyone thinks they are some money hungry company but when it comes to free content they really haven’t changed their thought process throughout the years. Collection reward/double MTO/ more points for grinding inning makes way more sense
-
I highly doubt exchanges will be messed with as it is the only real way to eliminate cards from the market, thus maintaining a robust market. If they narrow the exchange parameters the market crashes and can’t recover due to the inflation of cards on the market. My guess is the DH is coming. That makes the most sense and aligns with the MLB rules changes for the upcoming shortened season. I could also see them implementing a runner on second in extras.
-
I think everyone's vastly overthinking this.
Probably something akin to a Double XP Weekend.

It's a good point,
I think the twist will be positive that being said any change will affect the market so I have sold off my stock and made my stubs now instead of trying to perdict the future of the market

The twist wasn't revealed. That's why we have a thread discussing this.

It would be nice to give us the option to have a small repeatable offline reward for playing vs CPU (similar to missions in player programs and POTM programs). For example, beat the Cubs on All-Star and get 2 TA points for the cardinals.

I would be down for that 100%

I think we may see stat grinds with prior fotf and future stars which can be done offline.

There have been several mentions to something being said in a stream that alluded to the topic. Was asking which stream this might have been in.

IDK but stop jinxing the exchanges

That would be cool. With the prestige programs catered 100% to online players, it’d be nice for them to throw a bone to the offline dudes.
And it’d be nice to have some incentive to use those FotF1 cards. With maybe only 3-4 exceptions, I never use any of those cards unless it’s to grind daily innings in one game of conquest.
