Not trying to be "that guy" but I think that's BS for the folks that grinded showdowns and did tons of exchanging for TA1.
I dont see how its "BS" when they will be for whatever stage you are on. They will be applicable for stage 3, so therefore, it's not unfair unless you dont plan on doing any further stages.
Yep, this is what I was going to say. If you did the grind before, you got to use those FOTF cards when they were still hot. Now with more content and 99s out, they're not as big of a deal, so if people get them now it's not like they're going to threaten your team. And you have a leg up on the next stages.
For me, I enjoy rotating players from different teams making a push on innings used (not really grinding showdowns very much). Getting to the FOTF cards, 5-6 Future Stars and a few TA3 cards will be enough for me. So the catch-up is welcome!Plus, it will be nice to have variety in which showdowns we can chose to use toward the TA. I can tell you that part of the struggle is the boredom of going against the same challenges and boss. (NL east and central, looking at you)

If this is true and the new moments added are on the easier side and apply to stage 3 then that does balance things out which would be good

For those behind in TA, you still can do TA 1 and TA 2 showdowns. There's the catch up.
"They're too hard". Sorry
"I don't want to have to grind 1 and 2 to get to 3". /Facepalm

TAs are just too much of a grind at this point. Especially if you’re only in stage 1 on a lot of teams. Think about how many showdowns you have to do to keep up at this point.
I am not good at showdowns, I grind innings do the exchanges or MTO. MTO is the best way after show down but it gets boring.

If Show down is to hard or frustrating MTO is a good way to catch up, A full run on VET takes 6-7 hours with MAX points = 52
-
Agreed. Do MTO. Very viable option for those that need to catch up.

I have been grinding showdown pretty much exclusively for the last 2-3 weeks work on TA and I'm loving it
Showdown is the best mode added to this game in a long time

As someone who started late and way behind catching up and grinding TA1.....
No catch-up ladders should be provided. If I want to catch up, I will master the Divisions' showdown

Not to be that guy, but you did get those players months before those of us who suck, so its not exactly the same thing.
TA3 has a better Gwynn and Schmidt card than from the collections, i still dont have those, now by the time i get them they are useless due to better versions. Am i complaining, no because i didnt work the market or pay money to have those cards in the 1st week.
Its the same thing as over playing for a card as soon as it drops, you pay more than those who have it later, but you get to use the card longer.

I was trying to do showdowns over the weekend for TA2 after losing 15-15, 14-15, 12-15. I gave up.

Good point. Yet the catchup thing still comes across as a participation trophy to some folks. No big deal honestly...

I think people are stuck on the words "catch up". They said in the stream that it is applicable to whatever stage you are on, so that you can get to the end result faster. It's a good thing for everyone.

Exactly. And it’s not just about people getting to the end of each stage. If they help people move along each TA path more quickly, that means a lot more packs — especially BiaH packs — will be opened, so a lot more golds and diamonds will be reintroduced to the market. Otherwise, we will be eventually need a pack sale or some sort of mass infusion of cards to bring those prices back down to earth.

Just went back and watched and it was made clear it was a 1 time boost to what ever stage you are in which will be good.
So it could simply end up as a few moments worth 10 points in total so if you are really behind then likely you will still be very behind

My concern isnt the length or difficulty of the catch up moments, its the points. If they add a new moment for 2 points, that isnt exactly going to help. Showdown by far is the best bang for the buck, but you can work your [censored] of for 90 minutes and blow the final boss come away empty handed. Some people are so good they can jump straight to the boss and have 20 points for 1k stubs.
Yesterday i finally had a perfect SD run on the NL west. But man it was touch and go, could have easily lost 3 of them that would have been 6 runs. But since i switched camera angles they have gotten easier. Still most definitely not easy.
My guess is the moments would be 5 but other moments within were 3 and how many per team?

Every person has a different mode where they are successful.

To me, when they say it's a "catch up" and if they literally mean it will get you to the next stage (from whatever stage you're in), the moments would have to be worth some hefty points. Example: say you haven't done squat with the Marlins yet and you have 0 points toward their TA... if they're going to give you enough points in moments to advance to stage 2 that's a minimum of 70 points in moments to advance. So I don't know if each team will have like 7 moments worth 10 pts each or 10 moments worth 7 each? I'm not sure but I think it'll be something like that. Just my guess...
