Lineup Order

I try and split L/R when I can. I always try to have a speed guy leading off too. I just got Juan Pierre so I switched my lineup around a little bit but right now it's:
- Pierre LF (L)
- Brujan 2B (S)
- McCutchen RF (R)
- Bellinger 1B (L)
- Hanley Ramirez 3B (R)
- Victorino CF (S)
- Posey C (R)
- Pitcher
- Rollins SS (S)
It gives me a nice balance of power and speed. Plus, with Rollins hitting 9th, it's like having 2 leadoff guys, and 3 speed guys with Rollins, Pierre, and Brujan....

Brujan (s)
CAP Jeter (r)
Chipper (s)
Reggie (l)
Torre (r)
Bellinger (l)
Carlson (s)
Didi (l)I think switch hitters are important this year since opponents can run out a reliever to open and then go into their bullpen to pick Hal or kluber any time to counter lefty or righty heavy lineups

Had lot of success with Pierre. Situational bunting down the first baseline...he has phenomenal success rate. Put a lot of balls in the gap and hit 4 of 5 of my inside the park HR’s for me on the year. Im a bit past having 91’s in my lineup but one of my favorite cards of the year so far. I wonder if he has a shot at a TA3 card for Miami?

My lineup is now officially in the "incremental upgrade" stage....
- 2B 99 Robinson
- RF 99 Walker
- 3B 99 Sheffield
- 1B 99 Papi
- SS 99 Banks
- LF 97 Bellinger
- CF McCutchen
- C Sandoval
At this point, only Mantle is an upgrade to me, that I don't have yet, that's currently in the game... It's a great L/R split too.
-
- Best hitter
Rest of the lineup is LRLR or RLRL depending on the handedness of my best hitter, who happens to be Mantle. So right now I believe it's...
SRLRLRLPL
3R 2L on the bench.

Was wondering how you guys order your lineup. What do you look for in a leadoff hitter, 2 hole hitter, etc.?
Are you strict with breaking up your lefties and righties or does it matter to you?
Ideally I like to have a guy who hits for a high average and puts the ball in play no matter what Leadoff, usually a high speed guy like Ozzie Smith for me. Then I tend to hit my best player 2nd or 4th. You never wanna hit your best hitters 3rd because they either bat in the first inning with 2 out and no one on more often than not. If you hit 4th, your best player hits with runners on in inning 1 or leads off a fresh inning for himself. I also tend to give the bottom of my lineup for thunder as I don’t want the 7-8-9 to feel like give away or easy at bats for my opponent.

I try to avoid guys who have the shift against them at the top of the lineup. So I bat my CAP lead off with Jackie in the two spot. Then I put power hitters up until the eight spot, where I bat Posey for contact to avoid having the pitcher lead off an inning:
- CAP (S)
- Jackie (R)
- McCutchen (R)
- Didi (L)
- Sheffield (R)
- Bellinger (L)
- Giambi (L)
- Posey (R)
- Pitcher
