Rage quit losing stats

Hopefully next year's game SDS can do something regarding online stats accumulating even if someone rage quits. I've had about 15 runs score with Honus online with him being on base when I hit a HR. Yet each time my opponent will turn of his system before the HR counts and I don't get credit for the run.
As previously stated, maybe SDS can do something that the game session can't end until the play has ended and let the stats count towards online program stats.

SDS uses Amazon Web Services to host MLB 20 The Show. It looks like each play doesn't "transmit" the result of any play to the back end servers until the play completes (HR must land, Base hits must land and the runner must get to 1st, etc.).
Unfortunately, I'm not sure SDS can do much about this without a major game redesign. There's only so much they can do when two different PS4s have to connect over the internet to AWS, to get to a back end server.
